So this is the new campaign from the Scottish Police Federation which seems to be basically trying to distance themselves from officers south of the border. Regardless of the intention, it does seem to give some interesting scenarios where Police Officers (throughout the UK) have to make quick decisions.

So what would you do?

I really do feel sorry for the police sometimes. The stuff they have to deal with I just can't imagine all whilst keeping professional and abiding by the law. I know for a fact I couldn't do it.

2nd video I see lack of training though.

They entered a house they suspected involved in domestic violence. Based on info from neighbour knew the guy was under stress and presumably being visited by the bailiff had little left to lose.

Either of those points would be a sign to be overly cautious yet to turn off the music rather than finding suspect first whilst leaving her partner (turning her back only but to same effect) left both of them in a dangerous situation.

This is the sort of situation most officer deal with multiple times a day and it's rare to be anywhere near as serious as the video. In hindsight, perhaps she should have been more careful, but considering these jobs are bread and butter, I bet most officers would do exactly the same. You can't talk to someone and find out what has been going on with that music in the background.

For one you wouldn't expect that policewoman to stand there speechless you`d expect her to spring into action, yes lack of training.

Spring into action and do what exactly? She doesn't have taser, she's probably in a bit of shock too.

So what would you do?

1st vid - Original arrest getting left as locals obviously know who he is so can be collected later. Fellow officer requesting urgent assistance obviously involved in a violent altercation taking priority imo.

2nd vid - Guy with the knife is going down with whatever is to hand, clearly violent and has just stabbed her colleague. Self defence so he's getting chibbed but obviously radio for help if possible before advancing via boxing stance.

3rd vid - Wait as is, further assistance is on way. Only move casualty if it's clear there is going to be/is an engine fire in which case move casualty as best you can to a safe distance.
