I might just install this game when the Mantle patch is out.
Don't expect I'll play the game but the benchmark should be interesting.

In theory could TrueAudio also improve FPS if it lowers demand on the CPU? Or is the CPU not a bottleneck in the game? (Which you'd think it must do, else what's the advantage of TrueAudio?)

In theory it could, but im not sure the game is demanding enough for it to make much if any difference.

I like that though, with headphones turned up way too loud, if I get seen or whatnot, the 'clanky' changes and weird electronic sounds make it all the more tense.

Hopefully Nixxes/AMD have got CrossFire sorted for Mantle/DX and you and the bhoys should be sorted.

Been a long wait for True Audio, can't wait to get into Thief, who knows maybe AMD can make a deadline after all.:p:D

There's nothing wrong with the audio that's there, some of the mild steampunk stuff is cool. It's the missing ambience and general silence that you get half the time. Not to mention you can over hear people talking from their homes, and it doesn't drown out as you walk away lol.
 
AMD TrueAudio demo. Stereo headphones, turn 5.1/7.1 effects off. I assume this will become available for download. Demo requires TA capable gpu though.
