first time watercooling advice

hi guys,
I'm planning on building my first loop (cpu only) and I don't really know what to get. my budget would be £170 maximum (less would be way better though) and i've had a look at these kits:

what do you guys think? I've got a fx8350 that's currently at 4.4ghz but anything higher (even at stock voltage) gets the temperatures too high.

edit: or would i be better off just getting a better air cooler? my case is a nzxt phantom enthusiat and i don't have a side window

I'm thinking of putting my gpu underwater as well when I change my case so I'd like to reuse some parts. Would the pump in that kit be enough?

The pump is enough but not great and can be noisy. Barbs are also something i would never recommend over other kind of fittings.

The 4930k can handle all kind of PC tasks but i wouldn't spec it for a £600 rig.

I never suggested it, I threw something together but wasn't really his budget so never posted it, I did see that question and thought I could give some input to the thread.

The pump in the kit is far from a D5. It is noisy and is only really strong enough for small expansions. Sports a similar flow to the 4.0 but with less than half the head pressure and far less flow than a D5 with considerably less pressure.

I was assuming (My mistake to assume) that OP's question was referring to 'MarioGameTV's suggestion. as that was the last 'kit' talked about, That kit said "d5 variant" which is not what I'd have assumed it was

The kit in the pictures show a 750 x20 which is not a D5.

The title also lists the pump as this pump:

Which matches the picture. The V4 is not a D5. The description is likely wrong as the D5 pump res combo looks similar but is this:

Which at full price costs practically the same as the kit.

solid build by avenged there. I would go with that. Unless you can stretch budget for a 4.0 pump

Thanks for all your replies guys. I only saw the barbs once I posted (oops) and I refuse to use them. I'll shop around and see if I can find a second hand pump anywhere.

i can get an EK Coolstream xt240 for £20. would it be a good idea?

Yeah, that is a bargain for a half decent radiator and would easily handle up to 5ghz+ if your Piledriver is up to the task.

Ok cheers. I think I've just managed to sell my 660 for £70 so I'll have extra money for a good pump (D5 more than likely).
I don't know yet where I'll attach the res pump combo but I'll see

The 4.0 is a brilliant pump and will handle many blocks and rads. I have seen my own handle four blocks with a single pump before.
