Got my delivery this weekend , it all went together suspiciously well , its been running since Saturday night ..not 24/7 but a fair bit ... ran PC mark on it to try and work the CPU a bit and nothing above 45 degrees (ish) ... can i presume the mounting of the heatsink was a success , and it look like its working with as intended ?

I am pretty sure it is ...just looking for some backup :D

*The GTX 260 is my old card .. a stand in for now , to be fair, the onboard was doing a great job ..played a bit of the BF3 campaign with very playable fps

Cant tell much from idle temps but looks fine. Staying below 45 is what i would expect from a stock 4770k with a upper end air cooler, so looks spot on.

It'd be a shame not to up the clocks now you got the cooling!

Ok cool  ... the pump will just do its own thing then ..i don't have to regulate the speed anywhere ?

Agreed about the OC , i have no excuses as the MB has an OC genie button ,
wanted to make sure it was stable before i do anything to it .

As far as i know, the link software does that for you. Dont use the OC button, find a guide and follow it, you will get better temps and a higher overclock. Auto overclocks use more voltage than needed and are incredibly mild clocks.
