Thanks, would a Ego twist and a pro tank work together? It much work to re-coil/wick the pro tank?

Ego Twist and a Protank Mini is a brilliant combo, Although I have drilled out one of the air holes for a more airy draw.

Re coiling / wicking is easy once you get it down, Just stick with high gauge kanthal, I commonly use 30-32 gauge, sometimes twisted, usually around the 1.4 ohm mark.

Commonly overlooked bit to remember, torch the kanthal prior to fitting, do not dry burn it on the head because you'll burn the rubber insulator and you'll ruin the taste a fair bit ;)

I would not say the article is "full of crap" but its a bit silly how it is written negatively when there no proven problems with ecigs and most of the stuff about them are good (stop smoking) notice how the negative comments are usually from tobacco company reps? the chemicals the mention I think are at very low levels, similar to riding a bike to work in traffic or something probably.

What I don't get with the anti-vaping folk is why they always take vaping in isolation. ie, they say it might be bad so you shouldn't do it.
They never say "Smoking = certainly bad, vaping = maybe a little bad, therefore vaping is better than smoking".
It's always "Smoking = bad so don't do it, vaping = maybe bad so also don't do it"

We don't have these isolated things in other areas of safety analysis. No one says "You are 10 times more likely to die on the road as a cyclist than a car driver therefore cycling = bad".

Gave it the benefit of the doubt to begin with... and then it got to quoting Stan Glantz and his complete misinterpretation of his own data.

Complete, unfounded nonsense full of supposition and ignorance.

Same for me. I gave it a chance and then if's with no data to back it up.

The mrs has decided that she wants to buy me a mechanical mod as I keep going on about how I want to try one but can never justify the cost.

So, what's a nice mech mod in 18650 size at around the £100 mark? There seem to be so many. Looking at the Smok-e mountain vanilla at the moment.

I stopped following the vaping scene because it became a real money pit and my current setups and snake oil serve me well. However the nemesis clone from Fasttech (iirc it's around £25) can't be sniffed at if you want to venture into mechanical mods.

I have a nemisis clone, best mod i have had yet. and they only £15 on fasttech ;)
Also the Stingray clone is catching my eye, not sure if it any better than the nemi though http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10007483/1649000

Its really up to you Rilot. go for either a genuine mod, it will be over priced but the sell on value and demand should also stay high.

Or get some clones that look and perform virtually the same as the real thing, but the sell on value will be low.

Also agree witht he money pit statement.
I have a nemi clone, vamo, kfl and a kayfun 3.1 clone and i do not really need to buy anything else as this setup works perfect for me.
I may just get another nemi or the stingray with a dripper and that will be all the equipment i will need.
I cannot see the point of spending hundreds of pounds for virtually no performance gain over what i have already.
Vaping seems to breed a culture of the more expensive something is, the more people want it.
If its better or not is not important, its the exclusivity that matters.

Things have changed a good bit this last year or so. Now that the clones are as good or better than the real ones. There was a time you did have to spend good money to get something really nice.

I just wicked up my Kayfun Lite for the first time. WOW! Such vape! Many flavour!

I didn't do a microcoil but did 5 wraps of 0.32 kanthal and then threaded cotton wool through, soaked and squashed against the chimney. It took a while but my god, it was worth it.

Vaping on Chef's banoffee pie @ 8W on my MVP and it's never tested so good.

Well i seem to have solved my Kayfun wicking issues for good..it was the bloody cotton lol, was using wilkos organic balls, nothing but a weird taste from it, boiled or not boiled made no difference - saw asdas little angels pleat mentioned a lot, so figured why not, and wham its full flavour, nice vapour and no strange taste and its not even boiled, just straight from the pack. One thing i noticed straight away in the drippers, with wilkos cotton, the juice would sit ontop of the cotton for a good 5 seconds before soaking in, with the asda stuff its soaked up straight away and fully saturated.

Got all 5 of my drippers, my 2 kayfuns and a taifun all wicking away quite the thing ;)

There is a difference in what type of cotton is used, some might notice it, others might not - i also got some Voodoowool but after getting the cotton good, ive not tried it yet, waiting on my Origen V2 to arrive then ill give it a shot in that.

To be fair, inhaling anything outside of air, into your lungs isn't good for you.

Can anyone recommend a battery charger for the 18xxx range?

Any thoughts on the Hammer mod? Turns out a chap on ebay lives 2 miles from my house and has a huge range of mech mods for sale, very tempting!

iirc most of them suffered from major voltage drop, most users had to change the top cap with the one from the chi you clone iirc.

Nitecore IntelliCharger i4
Job done. It does all the 18xxx batteries as well as AAs and others. Has a built in PSU so you just plug it in to the wall with a normal figure-8 cable.

£22 from the UK distributor: http://www.nitecore.co.uk/Shop/Prod...ers/12347-Nitecore-Intellicharger-i4-V.2.html

Second this, the i4 is very good.

Does anyone else vape only tobacco flavours with the occasional other? I have been through most flavours and some of them are really good at first but bored with them in a few days , the only flavours which I never get bored of are some tobacco flavours, tobacco + mint and maybe 1-2 other fruity type flavours which I will have occasionally but be bored again after a few hours of them.... I did not even try a tobacco except Ry4 until about 3 months vaping, but now that or + menthol is all I ever want, there are 1-2 fruity ones I like (ooo errr) and I will probably try some others at some point, what are some good vapes which are good ADV?

Looking to move a few of my mods and an atty. UKV have a restriction on the marketplace and I don't post often enough to get my posts that high...anyone any ideas?

Things include Siggy 19b with 2x top and bottom caps. K100 in red/black/silver and an RSST.
