Cars do impress when you are young.
I cleaned my brand new MK1 vRS on the street many times and was never approached by a young lady.
Bought a Westfield, with an old MK2 Ford Escort OHV engine, washing it outside my house got me far more attention than I could ever have thought possible, almost as if I was a different man.
I ran a MK1 XR2 and a Honda Prelude in the early 90s, both were expensive to insure but both had the desired effect I was looking for.
MX5 or Jap 2 seater isn't a bad idea.
I think older women are more impressed with badge snobbery, younger women like sports cars (don't have to be fast).
Open top FTW.
