well done, you would have completely missed the point both now and when I complain about Giroud.

Giroud doesn't miss an awful lot, he's simply a terrible footballer who can't work the opposition defence. benzema has been a powerful player terrorising the opposition, he's scored two quality goals, neither the absolutely most difficult, but neither tap ins inside the 6 yard box.

A good performance from any player, striker, defender, goalkeeper is about more than just goals. Benzema missed a few chances, all top players do. I don't complain about Giroud really at all for his finishing, he is a fairly good finisher in terms of, most of his shots are inside the 6yrd box and he scores plenty of them, that isn't even slightly why I think he's crap.

Benzema offers a huge array of things in his game, finishing is just one of them. If Giroud scores 2 missed 4 but is completely and utterly crap for the otehr 89 minutes of a game i'll complain about his performance. If he missed 8 of 8 shots but is simply brilliant in every other part of his game, I'll say it's a shame for not scoring but great performance.

Minimal contact I thought, Oh well Neymar did something I guess.

Even if it wasn't a pen it kinda makes up for the other none pen :P Bar the red card of course.

You can choose not to run at the player of course ;)

both because of the direction of the pass and the direction Neymar was running in from, there was probably a 90% chance Neymar would continue running from right to left across the box and try and go around the keeper, Ramos should have seen that and simply not got sent off for something so stupid.

He didn't have anywhere to go purely because he put himself a yard behind Neymar, he didn't have to be there in the first place.

I don't really think the first was a pen but I can see why the ref gave it, Alves is such a idiot in those situations. Some people on here seem to condone exploiting those situations, I don't at all, but Alves was still entirely stupid to give him the option to even attempt to make a dive look like a penalty. Didn't leave the leg and it's a yellow card for Ronaldo.
 
All this game needs now is a Bale thunder-*******, a Ronaldo free-kick that moves like its in a tornado and then a Messi lob over the keeper.

Also we need one player to do about 65 fouls, 2-3 worthy of a straight red and the ref to completely ignore it while the opposition goes mental... then it's a real classico :p

I can see why it was given too definitely can. I agree with you though, If Alves left him then one of the CB's could/would have possibly defended the little run.

If it isn't Alves making mistakes it is Pique! :D

Valdes hasn't done an awful lot this game, couple saves but most of the shots both ends fairly unsaveable. But Valdes leaving will be really interesting next year, he saves Pique/Masch/Alves sooo often. He's the best keeper in the world by a mile, so many games in the past few years particularly as barca have been in a bit of decline, when he has done simply amazing things to win games for them.

Pique in front of almost any other keeper would have been shipped to a bottom half team years ago.
