I want to live in America

You can get a Green card in 21 years by abusing the 14th Amendment regardless of where you are from. I am (seriously) considering doing this in case i ever wish to retire there as it is a very nice byproduct of giving your son/daughter the gift to have the option to live there too with total freedom should they ever wish to.

How do I get in? Is the only way realistically marrying an American or give the
US government $250,000 and have assets of over $200,000 ?

If you could live in another country where would it be...?

Out of curiosity, what makes you want to live over here?

Having lived in the US for nearly 10 years, it's definitely a case of "the grass is always greener". I couldn't wait to get out of the UK, but now I miss it terribly. The US is an incredibly messed up place to be honest. Fortunately, I live in one of the "best places in the US to live" and am pretty happy in the little bubble of sanity I find myself.

Do the first bit, don't bother with the 2nd - you can always visit the US from Canada if you really want to.

For me the huge attraction of the states and the reason i generally visit is a western culture but with amazing weather/climate conditions.

Canada does not meet this, the weather is even worse than the UK. I know a lot of people wont care about this, but i'd bet equally that a lot of people would.

An easy way in is religion. Personally, I'm an atheist so this wouldn't work for me, however my cousin took his family over to Florida about 20 years ago. Basically it was all arranged through the Pentecostal Church. He was a member in the church in the UK and he contacted the Florida branch of the church and arranged to travel there in order to study to be a minister. Once he'd done that he was able to apply for US citizenship, and he's been there ever since. Dem yanks love their religion. :p

It is something I'm going to be looking in to once I have finished University :), America or Scandinavia.

Live in America? I'd sooner flagellate my own testicles with a Cat O' Nine Tails. Perhaps an America that was still part of the Empire (stands up, whilst national athem plays) but not that upstart country in became after independence.

Wouldn't mind living in Canada, much better country. Big, open wild, better health care than their southern chums. That bit about milk coming in bags is a little odd though.

However, I've got family here and thus that's where I'm staying. God bless the Empire...what's left of her.

Depends what your looking for from the weather I guess, southern Ontario and BC, etc. are as far or further south than Paris and usually get great summers and a full range of the seasons.

San Francisco was incredible the nice balance between the sea breeze and sun....

Vegas was too hot :p

I was fortunate enough to be born in a place I consider the greatest place on earth, the British Isles. Should there ever be a reason to live abroad though I'd like to live in Sweden or Norway.
