Perhaps it isn't being released for you as a previous PS3 owner?

There's now a considerable amount of PS4 owners that have come across from the 360 & have missed out on TLOU, it makes complete sense to re-release this for the players that missed out.

They missed out of their own accord though; I'm not sure their objective is to re-releasef last gen games just to cater for an audience of people who didn't bother to buy a PS3 over the past 7 years.

Not trying to ruffle feathers here and I'm not dead against it, but it worries me that this will be a trend developers use for making a quick buck with varying results (case in point: the questionable quality of some of the HD re-releases on the 360/PS3) when the resources would be better put into making new games, especially at this stage of the new generation when there's not exactly a massive library available.
 
Look at the success the PS4 has enjoyed over the first few months, there are literally millions of new Playstation players that have potentially missed out on one of last year's best games. I am one of them & totally welcome this re-release.

It's totally different than the Tomb Raider situation, which was released on every platform. That just seemed like an absolute cash-in.

It's not wasted resources though, cos with a good working engine on ps4 then they can start making new games with it. it's not wasted resources. they already have all the tLOU artwork, voice acting etc.
 
Not sure if I'd double dip for a graphical boost on what was an already awesome looking game.

TLoU is still so fresh in my memory I'm not sure I'd even want to play it again.

Great for those that didn't play it first time around.
 
If they're simply making the Playstation 3 version available on the Playstation 4 then I can see the sense in that. If they're giving it a graphical lick of paint and other such improvements then that development time and money is being wasted in my opinion. Not that I've read anything from either SCE or the developers confirming the rumour in the first place.
 
I have one request for this.

Please let me somehow import my PS3 save so I can play survivor+ without having to play the whole game through again first!

Finished the game 3 times on the PS3, and would still happily buy the game again for the PS4, why?

For the MP, which was imo one of the most addictive online games I have ever played. With a decent frame rate (not that it was bad) and voice coms etc = yes please :)

I feel the same way. I'd need to give it another year or so at least lol.
 
I would definatly get this. One of the best games I played on the ps3 and I only did it once and sold it so it should be still quite fresh for me.
I do hope they give it the tomb raider treatment and don't just increase the fps and resolution. Id like to see them add higher quality textures more effects ect as this would sell huge on the ps4.
