My demon hunter pretty much relies on Multi Shot, with the rocket rune. Then Bola is my Left click.

Its a weird build and probably not most efficient but I find it can cut through mobs quite quickly.

I have to say I’m uber jelly of all you guys playing :( There was me ready to rock some RoS on release after really enjoying the 2.0 patch. Then boom business trip came up right over the release week that I could not get out of. No laptop to play either QQ

Can’t wait till Sunday when I finally get home and able to get some game time in. I’m really not sure what to play though, I really like the look of the Crusader but at the same time I have been really enjoying levelling my monk and thinking of sticking with that. Failing that I still have my DH at 60 so I could play that. I also watched a couple play videos of witch doctor and that also looks insanely fun too. Argh choices choices, either way though I will be rocking my WHITE wings ! (or maybe my Zerg ones :p )

Nothing beats multishot for clearing on lower difficulties. Instant cast, can hit off screen and has unlimited targets, whats not to like? :) It suffers at higher levels though as its not the most hatred efficient (unless you use fire at will) and is ineffective against single targets.

What do you mean mate? I'm loving the game, I just see no reason for it to be mandatory for you to be online anymore, as they took everything out of the game that semi-justified the always on DRM. I can't think of another game that requires an internet connection besides Sim City and MMO games, Sim City got destroyed for being always online despite having strong benefits for being so, D3 has no excuse (never really had either) but nobody cares. It's like wat.

SimCity now has an offline mode. :)

Blizzard should start taking notes.

I actually quite like the online element. I don't like the fact that the other day I logged on and there was a queue to play the game, that kinda sucks, but I do like the community tie-in with the chat system and the clan chat etc. And I can see at a glance who from my friends list is doing what, and I can instantly join the game. It is essentially like having your own little bundled Steam or XBox Live community in the game, just built around Blizzard's own systems. And the cross-game community aspect is pretty cool with RealID.

My broadband line is always connected, and I don't pirate any games, so I have no issue with an online DRM system that brings some useful features to my game, as well as protecting Blizzard's interests.

Yeah its mainly because Creeping Death makes it so damn good, coupled with Piranhado, which basically sucks all the mobs into one place so you can lob locusts onto them all and then dont have to worry about the dot dropping off or the dmg boost from Piranha as CD makes them both last 5min.

If you luck out and get that set bonus that causes all the dots to instantly do their dmg then your laughing, as that gives a huge boost of dmg and only reduces the duration by 30 sec, infact theres another legendary that halves the duration of the dots making them do their dmg even faster, that makes locusts and Piranha last 2:30 each for insane dmg, can only imagine the dmg resulting from the 4 piece bonus on that.

Tried this out last night:

Worked wonders, was able to solo T1 pretty comfortably. I did have a nice mojo drop as well, it summons a dog for me automatically every 6 seconds (max of 3). Basically a free extra ability =) DPS is 350k, 4.5 million toughness and 11.5k healing. Did 10 bounties and 1 rift, never died once. Ran into some nasty mobs as well, elites and champions together etc. Real happy with this set will be keeping it going forward.

For you guys playing DH's, whats you're preferred primary Hatred spender?

I normally use Cluster Arrow - Loaded for Bear, which works fine, but is getting a bit boring!

I like my DH, but find I am enjoying my Wizard a lot more at the moment.

Ive tried Spike trap, Chakram, Sentry, Elemental Arrow, and Strafe. None of them have really grabbed me.

Sim City has awesome online features though, surprised they gave it offline mode!

Yeah I agree, also with the 2nd paragraph (to a degree) but the game doesn't have any dependant online features that would break the game if they weren't there. I've lost count of the times on here alone where somebody is going for a long train journey or away on holiday and wants something to pass the time with on their laptop, D3 almost always gets mentioned by the OPs but then they realise it can't be played without an internet connection.

It is currently the only game I know of that requires an internet connection despite having nothing that would prevent an offline mode. Everybody went nuts when the Xbox ONE was revealed to require an internet check every 24 hours to work, D3 doesn't even have that... I'd imagine somebody could benefit a lot even from something like that, give yourself the 24 hour bracket of offline playtime for the journey to wherever, jump into an internet café right before the return trip and sorted.

It's extreme DRM and people have double standards with it, nothing winds me up more than double standards.

Yeah i tried a petless build on Torment last night, was fine til i got to the butcher and i just run out of steam it seems, couldnt get him down fast enough before the room went on fire haha. changed back to pets and took him out easily.

I was theorycrafting a new build yesterday, i quite like the look of that pool jumper build thats been posted on diablofans, i think i will give that a shot tonight, will redo my stats for Pile-on.

I think ultimately, Locusts is endgame build when you have 4 piece bonus and a quetzl helm, thats where you are going to see mental dps numbers.

Im finding that i pay less attention to the char sheet dps numbers as these dont take into account bonuses to skills, like +% dmg to Locusts and whatnot. So while my sheet says 440k dps, i know its a lot higher as my gear is all tuned with +% to Locusts.

what's the overclockers clan name or is it full?

Think the main one is full but there still room in the Social clan,

In clans make sure you choose the English (British) filter on the left then search for Overclockers

You should see two results, apply to join the Overclockers Social clan and I or someone else will accept you asap, also drop your battlenet id here so I know who you are there's been a few random people applying to join, must be from playing with clan members on publics.

I know this may be a problem for undeveloped areas of the world but I am luckily online 24/7 now so it does not effect me at all.

Well that's nice. You're ok so who gives a damn about anyone else? There are a lot of people who don't have a stable bb connection who suffer because of this always online element.

While I agree more game should have offline as standard, the reason they have gone the always online route is to combat hacks/bots/duplications etc most people think piracy is the main reason but its probably lower down on the list than most think.

They could introduce an offline mode in which your character can only be played offline only but this is still a risk as they would have to make certain files available which could then lead to exploits online.

While it is an annoyance it doesn't bother me too much, I would rather have the online version for centralized characters, patches/updates without having to constantly download updates and the ability to play with other people with ease.

The main issue we should be complaining about is UK Network Infrastructure!

It's not the worse in the world but it could be a hell of a lot better, especially this day and age, stable connections for ALL! :D

Yep, I agree. The only reason I play softcore on D3 is because of always online and my only hardcore character dying to rubberbanding at 60.

The should have just had it like D2 with 3 (or two) different types of characters, single-player/LAN, Open Battle.net (they could skip this one if they wanted), and Battle.net only characters.

Now that loot balanced around the AH is gone, my only real problem with the game is the fact that I have to put up with rubberbanding, maintenance, and disconnects (my router likes to randomly drop connection to the internet meaning I'll randomly have no internet for a few minutes once or twice a day) on what is for me a single player game.

lol and how long did it take them to decided to implement it? a year :p

yeah SC has some good online features but I think what myself and others were expecting was to be able to whack this on a laptop and play it whilst on a train or plane or something, which unless you tether the laptop to your phone you wouldn't be able to do.

and I felt the same about D3. I love playing online with others.... but as you can jump in and out of playing solo or with a party why can't you play solo offline? I mean D2 had it right with you could have offline characters and then purely online ones. that would be fine to be fair! I know they don't want people hacking it and giving their online accounts lewts but if you have a purely offline character I don't see what the problem is... ok if they hack it and give them selves items... oh well.... can't use online with others so just let them play it :p as for always online and piracy... ok that's fair enough but still.... pain in the arse!!!

edit: just saw above post... yep I agree.

Then they don't get to play an online game - I could not play halo because I did not have an Xbox i did not cry on forums for years about it.
