What have you done to your car today?

Ran my 325i out of fuel over the weekend, the OBC said I had 38miles range and given I've ran it lower in the past I thought I'd be fine doing a quick rubbish tip run prior to filling it up (I like to try to run it full to empty to guage fuel consumption, well, that's my excuse anyway!) I get to the tip and my range has dropped 2miles (the tip is roughly a mile away) and then I couldn't get it to restart :o

Thankfully, a nice chap with a Citroen Berlingo towed me to a garage where I filled up and all was good.

Moral of story, sod checking MPG's and don't trust the OBC! :p I'd rather foolishly presumed they were pretty accurate having ran out in my old e39 exactly at the point where the range read zero......

Christ, good on the Citroen guy!

I fear about running out of fuel one day. But I agree, OBC are not the most accurate things in the world.

Yes, top bloke, I offered him some cash for his trouble and he refused point blank!

To top it off, I had the Mrs in the car with me, she'd asked if I should fill up first and of course, I reassured her it'll be fine, I've ran it lower than that.....

I'll be reminded about this for years to come I'm sure! :o :D

Decided to have a look to see just how little mileage I'd done in it this year, so had a look on the UkGov site for last years MOT mileage.
Turns out my MOT ran out on the 8th March

On the plus side. I do have a new exhuast to fit so can get that done when getting the catalyst put back on. :)

Washed nicely yesterday then clayed the roof and rear. Damn I need to get a fallout/tar removal period thrown in before I do the rest of the car.

But all rest for the DC2 as baby M135 comes tomorrow so she'll be getting all the attention!!!! :D

I once had an A4 TDI which had a dodgy fuel gauge. First time on a long run, had over 1/4 of a tank it started behaving like it wasn't getting any fuel. Turned out empty should be where just over 1/4 of a tank was :D

Washed the S2000 yesterday :) Skyline is under a car cover - just needs the driveshafts taking off then the engine can come out :)

Finally finished my LED lighting upgrades. Been doing it slowly and boot was last to do (Also done glovebox but not pictured.) Huge difference.

And then Cruise/MFSW after that. Mods just keep on coming.

Not exactly today but Saturday... Part Ex'd it in

from my 1.6 Focus LX

to a 2.2 Alfa Romeo Brera

Will get more pictures when it isnt so grey and cloudy out.

So far I've driven it around the block, sat in it and listened to the pops on the overrun, then setup the ipod and played around figuring out what all these new car things actually do.

Covered in muck and Sahara Sand, so she needs a damn fine wash tomorrow!

Fitted Silver Indicator bulbs to the front, makes a subtle yet surprisingly big difference to the look (no more fried eggs look).

Replaced the heater valve on the Fiesta. One of the coolant hoses broke off the end of the heater valve because the valve was so brittle. Bit of spannering and new coolant and it's as good as new.
