Is it fair that I was excluded from college?

For some reason they wanted my file, I am talking about a physical file. I don't know what IT related stuff they were expecting to find inside of it though and they were highly convinced I had a portable HDD but I defo don't.

From someone who can read your code, see that all it does was display a BSOD image, and that its not a trojan - exclusion seems a bit OTT.

Coming from the mindset of a less technical person, you have been caught placing a highly disruptful virus onto school machines - twice. Exclusion is obvious.

Your best bet is to apologise profusely, and find someone in the IT department to listen to and check your story. If you can get them to explain to the senior managment that your code is no more harmful than the acts of the other students, then you stand a chance.

If the mods forgave you would you do it again though? :p

It's a stage 3, I am on the edge and must keep my balance! Why would I do it again? I want to move to Sweden and get a career and a new life and start fresh. I just need to force myself to mature and get my head down and blank the rest of the students out.

In my eyes they are different mistakes. In most peoples eyes they are not and I understand that.

And I think therein lies the problem.

From your posts it does seem like it's not so much your actions that are the problem, more your attitude, your actions are just a symptom of that.

You ****ed up. Until you can genuinely admit that to yourself you're just going to keep making the same mistakes over and over.

First time I wasn't excluded for executing/sending code. I was excluded after several members of staff complained about my actions because I was permitted to penetrate the network and report my findings to the Network Manager. I was then forced to sign a contract stating that I wouldn't perform such tests again.

That's exactly what I was trying to say from the start.

That's a bad recommendation. I want a good future not a suckish one stacking shelves and emptying trash while on a small wague. I want to help myself.

Your are looking at 5 or 6 years, tops, in another sector. Don't look at them as suckish jobs either, it is all experiance.

I spent 4 years loading wagons for a living. I have moved on from that and I am currently replacing half the software/macros we use because despite being a logistics firm, they were written by someone with NO experiance in Logistics. It's a very, very common theme.

Looking at your posts you want to be told how wrong they are, how unfair it is, and that it will all be fine. But they aren't wrong, it is fair, and if you carry on like this it won't all be fine and stacking shelves will be all you are able to get.

I would like to give a big thank you to you guys! The reason I vented here was for people to in return respond with comments that would help me think outside the box and so they have! :) All I need to do now is be creative with such data.

I have to admit I used to be an OTT show off. You could say skiddy. It's only because I want to be a penetration tester but I regretted showing off. Nowadays I still do to an extent but I've settled now quite a lot and that BSOD trojan is the first show off I've done in a long time and didn't really intend to show off but instead add some humour to the lessons only I ****ed up not thinking about my actions.

None of the comments have been "outside the box" - they have reflected grown up thinking.

Your attitude may be "outside the box" but that just means that you need to learn to conform to accepted behaviours if you are going to get anywhere.

I wanted to show off as a way to accomplish something, to look clever but not to feel superior as such but to convince people that I know stuff in order to get somewhere in life except people hated it.

I agree with that too. People say I am extremely smart but at the same time they say I think illogically. I suppose it's about time I used my smartness to think logically.

Why on earth did you do it again after that!
You'll find it very difficult to come back from this now...

When you say you were "permitted" to do it... permitted by who? And if it was someone in authority, why on earth were you excluded for it?

That same person turned around and told them excluding me was unacceptable. She only found out later, I had to email her.
