As something of a bitter vet, I cannot recommend Brave Newbies enough. I have only ever flown against them, but what they are bringing to the game is the most exciting opportunity for new players, possibly ever.
 
Is it still impossible to contract ships that have ammo loaded and stuff like that? I've been toying with the idea of coming back but I know that all my cap ships and other major assets are going to be deep in red territory in player-owned stations.
 
Have heard good things about Brave Newbies :)

Re: Contracting. Loaded ammo is still stripped, but I think everything else remains in cargo. For capital ships unless you have rare faction ammo loaded I can't see this being an issue, especially not in relation to the hull / fitting prices.

Only stuff you will have problems contracting is ships with boosters in them (don't think thats sorted yet) - which can be a problem with caps :| I usually have exile, etc. in mine.

Bugger, just checked EveAssets and I've got Exile booster in the cargo. What about damaged modules?

I've only got 4b in cash, and 13b tied up in assets I just know I'd never be able to extract.

Also how many isk does a PLEX run to these days?

Edit - actually good news, the Moros with boosters in the cargo is in an NPC station in Pure Blind so I could probably get in and sort it out. The Thanny is in a player owned station in Catch however and I'm pretty sure has damaged drones in the hold.

Haha did something happen to faction ammo? Apparently I'm sitting on several billion isk worth of DG Antimatter L (or is jEveAssets just screwy?).

PM me what station you need access to, I might be able to help out. I won't be able to grant you access, but between my main and sneaky spy alts I probably have a character that is blue to it at least.

Ouch, I think that's about double what they were last time I played. Guess there's been some inflation in the last 5 years.

Thanks, I'll probably not be back in game for a few weeks if I do restart, but I'll definitely give you a shout if it happens. It's in 5-N2EY VIII - Moon 5 - 5-N We Took The Initiative. That Station name makes me sad :p
 
I haven't played for over 2 years - but I have kept my training up... Should notice a big difference when I do start again, I have 45+ mill extra skill points in combat since I last played.
 
Right now, PLEX in Jita are on sale at 705m with buy orders at 690m

Early Feb they were around 630m but I believe the introduction of ship painting has pushed up PLEX price as you pay for the blueprints with Aurum, which you get by converting PLEX - at least, that's how a corpie explained it... I could care less about painting my ships!

Plex's hit 700m by the way. Crazy.
 
This is true. Not so good for me and others who normally do it the other way around though.

I paid real cash for my accounts for the first time in quite a while this month.. It seems 700m was my unrealized subconscious threshold :D

The station is in AAA hands, if anyone fancies an investment I've got a whole load of ships and fittings in there (valued at 4.3b by jEveAssets), including a fully fitted Thanatos that I'd sell at a markdown price. Drop a mail ingame to Terminus Shade if you might be interested.
