Should I pre-order Watchdogs??

ill likely get the game as its one of the first next gen releases on pc and i want something to test my new Radeon 290x on! never bother to preorder anything though, i don't want any game THAT much these days!

I was spot on about gta 5 not coming to pc any time soon and got laughed at on here and called dunce and idiot.

I proved them all wrong and now the threads closed so I cant gloat haha some people are just sore losers and cant take being so utterly wrong.

Who actaully said that? Pretty sure most people understood it was going to be a while until we did, no actual source said it would have a same-day release as consoles. If you got called those, I imagine it was for something else.

As for Watchdogs, as far as I can tell they've officially announced it as a Nov 19 release date for PC, same day as Consoles. If there is news to say otherwise, please inform us without the snobbery.

Hi All.

After reading up on the new game coming out soon Watchdogs im debating whether to buy it.
Its meant to be open world but im thinking will it be hacking another device every 2 seconds or will there be some fighting or shooting or driving for a good part of it?? There is no playable demo only a you tube pieced walk through.

I love games sandbox/open world games with a good storyline/missions to carry out like gta/mafia/sleeping dogs style.

Cheers.

no point in pre ordering anything these days.

most key sites for pc will have same deals on as pre order price.

the game looks like it could be good but then you look who its by and i think its going to be a let down.

Never preorder a game ever, never, ever etc. I got caught up in the hype for X Rebirth I even questioned the lack of any reviews\ previews at all for the game. It was a steaming pile of dog poo. No doubt it will have almost bankrupt the company who made it.

Not preordering it, i'll wait until some reviews comes out and the price drops a bit. Does look great though.

You and me both. Never again will I preorder

You shouldn't pre-order anything ever.

It is a disgusting system that fuels most of the worst practises of modern game development like day1 DLC, pre-purchase bonuses and courages lazy developers and greedy production companies milking IP.

But I got like 2 free games and DLC when I Preordered Bioshock Infinite...

If I had just waited until it was released I would have missed out big time. I don't understand how that's a bad thing for me.

Only games I consider pre-ordering are Nintendo first party and good deals such as Titanfall with season pass from the Mexican store ;)

I'm done with pre-ordering games after Colonial Marines. I don't see the point in pre-ordering digital games anyway, especially with the scripted trailers they show that look nothing like the real game when it's released.

Just wait a few days after it's been released that way you get a few reviews to look at before you buy it.

Yep same here, and I sold one of those free games as I already had it, making it even more of a bargain. Its a gamble though I guess.

I disagree. I've pre-ordered various games that I've been quite confident will be excellent, and haven't regretted it. Often it's a great way of getting the game cheap too, rather than having to wait for a price-drop weeks afterwards.

In the case of Watch Dogs though, I'm not pre-ordering or buying it until I've seen more footage and read some reviews. I can't help but be sceptical about how good it's actually going to be, and I fear it's going to end up being a bit of a disappointment.

Arma 3 was the one that got me I haven't even played it more than once it's terrible feels like the player models are floating above the ground like a pole position (game) car.

What? Guess you have not played it for ages. Arma 3 is freaking amazing in every single way.
