The 2013-14 betting thread! **Spoilers**

Nice one, I'm only really starting doing more than a few quid, not using my own money at this point so it should be all good, very tempted to go Barca/Madrid/PSG/Bayern for tomorrow...
 
Every time I get a free £5 bet on Skybet I've been putting it on the group winners at the World Cup. Only done two potential results so far but some of the groups are pretty clear cut, others not so much! Will keep going. Minimum return so far £540.

So far I have:

Last week Bayern let me down in a 7 fold accumulator for 300 euro, this week Atalanta let me down for another 7 fold accumulator worth 400 euro off a 5 euro bet.

Pretty hard to stomach back to back losses of one team like that for a decent amount of money. Couldn't see 8th place Atalanta losing to 19th place Sassuolo who they were playing at home as well on top of that.

Have lost about 6-7 accumulator's this season on one team. It's very frustrating tbh but i guess i just have to keep going and losing is apart of betting i suppose.

These let me down for £200 yesterday too, and all I needed was a goal for goals galore :( won £60 tonight though so not too bad though :)

I would have you declared insane for thinking France have even a remote chance of winning that group. :) Although you don't think the Swiss are all that, they are 7th in the FIFA rankings, and Ecuador have the South American Home advantage and are no pushover.
Also taking in to consideration they came bottom of their group in 2010, and in 2006 were beaten to the top spot by Switzerland. :D

I'll be doing his thing today, but also went for PSG/Madrid to win and a teeny tiny wager on over 1.5 goals in Madrid 1st half, could be touch & go but the majority is going on fbchappy :)

I read an article on the BBC Sport site that basically said the Swiss had manipulated the FIFA rankings by who they played and when. They're not all that as their group was relatively weak, although they are very strong defensively. France however only finished three points behind Spain in their own group. I may include Switzerland as group winners in another bet though.

I think PSG to win could be tricky to be honest. I'd combine a PSG to qualify bet with anything though although much lower odds i agree.

I'm tempted by a Madrid outright win also. Any news on Ronaldo?
 
PSG without Ibra tonight though...I know they still have plenty of quality, but Chelsea will look at that and try to build from it.

One prediction- Chelsea will be 1-0 with 20 minutes to go;)
 
I'm hoping they go through, English n all that although I wouldn't expect the same from any other English club with regards to United. The SA idiots made that perfectly clear last week where everyone was baying for United to get hammered.

Cavani playing in his preferred position is going to be the worrying thing for Chelsea, if they concede first it is going to be really difficult.
 
The Facebook Tipster sure is interesting. I always just ask "why would he share his thoughts". The only thing I can think of is that his link to Betfair is a referral. Assuming 10% of his likes signed up newly through there then I guess £135,000 of free bets isn't too bad... lay all of that and bet elsewhere and you could probably get £130k out.

**** will hit the fan when 50,000 people lose all their money because of his tip though...
