What phone are you getting out of the new flagships?

Is data allowance really important to a lot of people?
I struggle using my 500mb 3G allowance as there's pretty much WIFI everywhere.

Yep, WiFi isn't available nearly everywhere. It's the complete opposite.
Especially out in the sticks.
It depends on your job, I have a lot if time, in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do.

Dont really plan on upgrading, nothing jumping out at me, just stick with my xperia T for the time being (contract isnt up until November so theres time yet)

Same here albeit mine is December, just in time for the Nexus 6, if Google follows their previous release dates with the Nexus :D

How are the custom roms for the HTC M8? I love Temaseks rom for my S3 and hear there's always been good development for the Galaxy series.

None of them interest me to be honest. Still happy with my S4 which I think looks better than the S5 with the slimmer bezels.

Personally I'm holding out for the following:

OnePlus One,
Note 4,
Nexus 6,
iPhone 6,
Lumia 930,

I will not switch from Android but shall see what the iP6 & 930 offer. I had the N5 briefly last year but wasn't impressed with it as my S4 works just as well albeit slightly slower. I've had the S4 for nearly a year now since launch and it'll be the first time I've kept a phone longer than 12 months!

My sister got the Note 3 and that's a lovely phone.

This Sharp phone is perfect for the screen to bezel ratio too bad Sharp don't sell outside of Japan otherwise this would have been a killer phone:

Currently using a Galaxy S3. So far I would say the Xperia Z2 is the most likely choice. The only other phone that would tempt me would be the Note 4, but there really doesn't seem to be much info on that yet other than rumors. Unless some official info comes into light regarding the Note 4 before the end of this month, then I will just go for the Xperia Z2.

Probably going to hold off for now. I had an S4, and now have a Nexus 5, so can't really justify the upgrade just yet.

Will see that the Note 4 and Nexus 6 bring to the table. Also, with the rumours of a larger screened iPhone, I can't actually rule that out just yet.

I've got the urge to upgrade, but nothing has quite grabbed my attention enough yet, they just don't seem enough to be truly noticeable day to day over the N5. Although if I had to go for any of them, it would probably be the S5. The M8 is fantastic, but I just don't think I could get around the camera; I take a lot of photos and like going back through older ones and I just worry I'd miss the resolution. I may not, but it's enough of a worry to put me off. The S5 has its own flaws though, KNOX is pretty much a dealbreaker, but I guess I'll have to get over it as it's becoming more and more standard now unfortunately.

I think it's going to be the iPhone for me later on in the year.

As nice as Android is now, I don't find myself using it to it's full potential. Bar the odd download on the go, I don't customise it at all.

For example, I have a Nexus 7 (2012) 32gb on the Nexus stand that is literally just being used as an alarm clock as I use my iPad. So I'm probably going to sell that along with my N5 later on in the year and get the iP6 and an iPad Air.

If I had to get a phone now, I'd get the HTC M8. IMO it's the best looking phone and has really decent specs.
The S5 has great specs but it's ruined by the bloatware, you can put a custom rom on it but I like some of the extra features that Touchwiz and Sense bring over standard Android.

Otherwise I'd just wait till the Note 4 comes out and most likely get that.

You don't lose any features with root it's all about the gain.

I've pre ordered the S5, in person I think it looks quite nice. the other two options (Z2 & M8) were a bit too large for me also.

Should hopefully be collecting it Thursday or Friday this week.

Im waiting for the successor to the Lumia 1020, will be all over that like a rash otherwise nothing really doing it right now for me

My contract has almost finished but I am still happy with my Note 2. My wife however has had a nightmare with her S3 so I am giving her my upgrade. As things stand I am advising her to get the Sony Z2 as it has a slightly bigger battery than the S5.
