That just about sums it up.![]()
I think people are missing the fact the film wasn't based on the biblical story, but the graphic novel Noe. See http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/comicbookfans/news/?a=68320 for more on this.
i just quickly googled this and found:
that is reason alone for me to avoid it like the plague.Darren Aronofsky
Really?!
Requiem for a Dream?
The Wrestler?
Black Swan? (not seen it, but heard it's good)
Noah does look a bit pants, though
Edit:
Ahh, thread's already covered the Darren Aronofsky angle. As you were
Ah didn't know that - explains 'the watchers'.
The whole Methuselah bit was a bunch of rubbish as he would have been dead by the time the flood came along otherwise he would have clearly been on the boat.
According to the dates and ages given in the Masoretic text and Samaritan Pentateuch, Methuselah died in the year of the flood; possibly just a few weeks before it arrived.
According to rabbinic tradition he died 7 days before the flood.
Calculated by the dates and ages given in Septuagint Alexandrius, Methuselah died six years before the flood.
Calculated by the dates and ages given in Septuagint Vaticanus, he died fourteen years after the flood(!)
Well there were 8 people on the Ark, Noah, his wife, his three sons (Shem, and Ham, and Japheth) and their three wives = 8.
I think it's safe to say Methuselah was dead before the flood came.
Got an unlimited cinema card, watched on release night, worst movie i've seen all year, by far.
Seems he's done a good job of helping this sink too

How many movies have you seen this year so far?
We can describe this in a number of ways, but 'sinking' is not one of them.
Around 16 - 17 at the cinema i think.
Or it was only a local flood (not a global one) and he survived.
