Noah... what a stinker.

The plot and script were auful.....

What were you expecting surely you knew the story before you went ?

Were you thinking it might have an alternative ending ?

It's quite simple, my gramatically challenged forum chum. This was not the original story of Noah's Ark, it was completely rewritten to give it a fantasy "twist". The way it was rewritten in combination with the awfully inadequate script, delivered unconvincingly by a what was to all intents a great ensemble cast. It's not the biblical story itself which made this film bad, because it hardly had anything to do with this movie other than the basic concept, it was simply the terrible execution with which the movie as a whole was delivered. This movie could theoretically have been good, same as with any movie that is produced and directed well. This just... wan't.

Does that answer your rather silly question? ;)

Saw this today - thought it was quite good - apart from the slightly bizarre 'helpers' and Noah's dodgy wigs towards the end.

i just quickly googled this and found:

that is reason alone for me to avoid it like the plague.

What?! I'll admit that Noah looks like a steaming pile, but Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, The Foutain and Black Swan range all range from good to superb :p

ok, i'm outnumbered 2 to 1. i shall change my mind and i now like darren aronofsky films. i will try and remember not to post personal opinions on subjective topics in the future.

Ok, in fairness you did say reason for "you" to avoid it, rather than reason to avoid it generally.

Richdog will not be back in this thread, egg on face ect ect

Actually I was posting on a phone with 800*400 resolution so didn't notice the typo, but I think it is pretty clear from my general posting that I don't have any issues with grammar or spelling, and when I do it is a genuine typo. You, on the other hand, write like my 12-year old cousin on a consistent basis.

Ope that cleers it up 4 u Jimlad. "ect ect". ;)

The trailers for it make it look so bad that I'm kind of thinking of going just to see how bad it really is.

It's worth it just for the "Ham. Haammm." humour. You'll know what I mean when you see it. :D

I think people are missing the fact the film wasn't based on the biblical story, but the graphic novel Noe. See http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/comicbookfans/news/?a=68320 for more on this.

Ahh, interesting.
