Well I didn't ride for months
/fair weather rider :o

The rear felt about 90-95% inflated.
The front felt around 80%

I'd have thought when riding most the weight is shifted to the rear? so the front should leak pressure far slower?

If you've not ridden for months then both tyres will slowly deflate naturally anyway. If you've used CO2 on one then that tyre will deflate a bit faster.

Why not swap the tyres and tubes round see if that makes a difference!

With me it's the rear that deflates faster. I think it's just a random function of the quality of the valve seal.

Does anyone know what I need to do to convert a Shimano 105 double chainring into a compact double? I can't keep up with the club up hills and they've all got compact doubles, and are telling me that I need the same :p.

Will I need a new chain? Or can I just buy a 105/5700 chainring and do a straight swap?

Think you're mixing up terminology. You need a chainset, not a chainring - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-105-5750-hollowtech-ii-compact-chainset/

Probably wise to get a new chain a the same time.

OK thanks, so a chainset plus chain and I don't need to chain the bottom bracket or anything?

Nope. It should just be a straight swap of the chainsets.

Just check the crank length matches your current chainset - that is, unless you want to go longer or shorter.

22 miles this evening. Second night out in a row so I was sloooow. Only 15.4mph average. I did so some hills though, so that's my excuse for the poor performance.

Still loving the new bike :D

Anyone else get a numb perineum / penis on a ride? Not sure if it's my saddle or my shorts causing the issue.

I'm getting a bit sore at the moment, but I think it's because my saddle isn't quite set up right. But yeah, it could be saddle, saddle position, your position, your shorts...

Did 17 miles to work, 10 home and 47 tonight. Not a bad day on the bike at all :)

This was tonights ride http://www.strava.com/activities/128554209, me and mate met up before the normal Wednesday group ride and did 25 miles, then the group ride and the fast(er) return lap.

Knackered now. Having a steady commute tomorrow before attempting my first TT of 2014.

Does your asthma bother you as such? I have asthma, and I can't run, but cycling is ok for me. Do you ever need your inhaler? It might be worth seeing the doctor for peak flow testing or spirometry or something.

iv had it for years, tested peak flow a lot, and I'm blowing 600-650 all the time, I rarely use my inhaler, my asthma doesn't bother me at all

I have a combined blue and brown one, and I use it about once or maybe 2 or 3 times a month

now im on my summer bike my pelvis doesn't hurt at all now, because the saddle has a cut away hole designed to relive pressure from it

my CX bikes, needs the same saddle, which I will replace end of this year

Anyone used these brake blocks? I'm guessing they're the standard shimano ones that come with any new shimano brakes, in which case the answer is probably that we've all used them at one time or another. I've used kool stops before now, but this is a very good price for 4 blocks.

Just realised I may not have explained myself right before :p.

It feels like my rear tyre is flat but it isn't. Anyone know what this could be?

Try letting the air out, give the tyre a good squeeze and a prod all the way round, then pump it back up again.

Sounds like it's not seated correctly, or possibly the inner tube is twisted, though not something I've ever come across.
