They faked the whole flu pandemic to push their tamiflu on to the governments. Coincidently major politicians were holding stock in the tamiflu.

The UK government stock piled £100 millions worth of useless medicine that does not even work. I think the people involved in this should all be fired and arrested for fraud. No excuse!

Of course, it is the public sector, where else could you hand half a billion £ to a pharmaceutical giant on non existing frivolous threat for a non working medicine and get away with it.

The pandemic was a complete fraud. The media were complicit, remember the media get millions from big pharma in ads every year. The media push their medicine for them.

The entire pandemic was orchestrated conspiracy from big pharma. The regulatory agencies are all in on it with the CDC and similar working with big pharma to push their medicines on to governments and the population.

They did it, they got away with it already. Nothing going to happen to them now, no public sector procurement employee is going to lose their jobs. No regulatory agency is going to question why they were encouraging the state to spend half a billion £ on stocking piling some ineffective and soon to expire medicine.

The roche culprits are sitting on beach somewhere enjoying their cut.

Seriously, you've started the OP with a credible article about the effectiveness of Tamiflu, which got you on to CT about how the 'pandemic' was made up and then the side effect of Tamiflu, which maybe an idiosyncratic drug reaction.

Are you really that against pharmaceutical and the government's lack of hindsight like you did back when the 'pandemic' was a threat, or are you just like the picture above, rave, rant and talk with air but no action?

I don't know .. plenty of signed up members of the tinfoil hat brigade hanging around here. Plenty of governmental advisers who haven't really got a clue what they are on about. Plenty of companies that don't mind making a few quid. We will see the same with statins too I would wager.

Just don't confuse this issue with vaccination which has been shown to be effective and should be done by everyone who is in an at risk group.

Problem is this is the kind of news CT folk pray for. I know the scottish government bought enough swine flu vaccine (tamiflu and renzola or smt) for every person in scotland....based on best scientific advice at the time. Of course the credibility of that advice (WHO or whoever) has now hit rock bottom. Icke, Alex Jones and co must be loving this... :p
 
I'd much rather my government waste a few million stockpiling a drug in fear of a pandemic that never comes as opposed to doing nothing till a pandemic does arrive. I don't see a conspiracy here, just some predictions that didn't pan out.
 
We all do have to consider that with disease generally still declining that the major pharmaceutical companies must have an interest in more demand for drugs being created. Especially if they are floated on the stock market meaning they must push for increased profits year on year.

I too wonder about computer antivirus companies. Do they really want to see computer viruses and malware eradicated? What happens to their multi-million pound profits then? It's quite a similar situation.

I think both of these market sectors employ pretty heavy handed scare tactics to sell their product.

Drug has been proven to be ineffective thus a fraud. A bit different than a pandemic that just didn't materialise. The pandemic never existed and they sold ineffective drugs to solve a non existent pandemic. Sounds like fraud to me.

They sold what was deemed as the most effective drug to help reduce the spread, especially to vulnerable groups.

How did your spyglass of the future worked out that it'll be deemed ineffective, thus a made up 'pandemic'? Hindsight 20/20, with the information available then, that's the best we have and the threat is there. People died from the H5N1 flu.

Please remember to bang your drums harder on the next threat so the Government will take your word, hang fire on stockpiling and if proved correct, we save millons of £££. If proved wrong, we lose millions of lives.
 
My wife worked for GSK at the time and everyone was issued with a 'family' pack of drugs tailored to your family.

The hysteria at the time was deafening.
 
The information was available then. We knew the pandemic was media hysteria and a lie to push the tamiflu on to the population and governments.

Before the uk government purchased the half a billion of bogus medicine. A lot of people were pointing out that it was a waste of money and a scam at the time. Just not the people spending tax payers money who are obviously in cahoots with the big pharma and regulatory agencies.

It was deemed as effective because the scientific community at large didn't have all of the evidence to make an informed decision. Roche has now provided the trials, the Chocrane Review has analysed the data and shown only very marginal benefit.

There was a pandemic - over 14,000 people died from H1N1 in 2009.
 
Evidence comes from same regulatory bodies that were pushing for tamiflu to be bought. Its all a big scam. There was no pandemic, only big pharma manipulating the governments and population.

Most of the instances of flu were picked up from the vaccines and anti-viral drugs like tamiflu which side effects are essentially the same as flu symptoms.

Vaccines work by giving the virus to the person but in a lesser version. Thus most instances of the flu were picked up from people who had a vaccine and passed teh flu on to other people. I knew of several cases of this happening in my own experience. Guy at work had the vaccine and passed the flu on to a few people.

The only true pandemic in 2009 was in Ukraine and that was surrounded with controversy.
