They are for crafting the Staff of Herding (which is used to access the secret level)

It plays very much like the barb, same kind of stats e.t.c. I had a level 60 barb and started a crusader the other week. Really enjoyed it.

Without doubt by the expansion if you enjoy D3 now. The expansion has brought me right back into the game and really enjoying it.
 
You need to find the legendary plan too, which are extremely difficult to get. Theres like 50 plans and you need to hope the one you want drops.

Legendary plan + materials + legendary material item = your new legendary.

Since you mention book, I'm gonna guess it's Lyekurn's Diary, used for legendary shoulders called Corruption. Well you need to find Plan: Corruption first.

Liking the new buffs - spent around 550 shards yesterday and got 3 legendaries - not great, but I dont expect to see leg's every time - and it's more than I got before hand.

Also re-rolled my gloves (again!!!) and finally got crit damage on them - I swear must have been atleast 30 attempts (if not more) before I got it - couldnt take seeing vit-vit/vit-all res/ much longer - but was well worth it in the end :) -

Yeh got lucky with 1 affix - and spent faaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr too much getting that CD :( - and damn liking your rings, and looking for a decent cindercoat myself :)
 
Anyone running fire wiz with +% fire dps? Seen a few things on reddit that have got me interested in this. Seems like you can put out some vicious dps/dots.

Don't know enough about it to start directing my gear in that direction.
 
Increasing Crit Damage and reducing Crit Chance in Paragon points should increase your DPS also. IIRC you want Chance at 10% of Damage.

I tried speccing a fire wizard before RoS when I found a cindercoat but tbh I found it really underwhelming.
