What childrens TV shows did you grow with

Pretty much this but add on:

  • Inspector Gadget
  • Hammerman Cartoon
  • Sharky and George
  • Mario Bros Cartoon
  • Simpsons (obviously)
  • Top Cat
  • Jetson
  • A lot more Hanna-Barbera thinking about it
  • Dexters Lab

Watched all of those apart from Hammerman, never heard of that. Can't believe I missed all the Hanna-Barbera stuff! Vaguely remember Tails from Sonic having a weird chilli-dog fetish too, strange cartoon. :p

Related to this... I'm trying to find a place to stream/own/rent all of the Tom and Jerry and Loony Toons cartoons, any ideas?

I've got a real hankering to the Bugs Bunny Vs the Bull episode (Bully for Bugs, thanks Google) after typing the above!

Battle of the Planets
The Adventure Game
Doctor Who
Grange Hill ( the original series with Tucker in it )
Ulessys
Blakes 7
The Tomorrow People ( the original 70s series )
Tom and Jerry
Roadrunner
Bugs Bunny
Pink Panther ( original )
Whacky Races
Captain Caveman
Dangermouse

Got more into anime during the 90's (think it was Akira of all things lol) although thinking about some of the animated shows I used to watch you'd be surprised just how many of our 'western cartoons' are dubbed anime...

All the 80's stuff for me. Transformers and He-Man were probably my favorites. Special mentions to: Stig of the Dump, Children of the Dog Star, Press Gang and Grange Hill (Zammo after the drugs OD was shocking at the time!)

I used to like those old school kids programs that were on BBC 1, between Newsround and Blue Peter in the days when Neighbours wasnt on every day.

I can remember Moon Dial, the silver sword, the children of Green Know and also the BBC Narnia adaptations were on then as well.

There was also this awesome show about books, based in a tower I think with a great violin based theme tune.

Ive got DVD box sets of chorlton and the wheelies, jame and the magic torch, Dungeons and Dragons, round the twist and ulysees 31.

-- Ninja edit. "The Book Tower". Tom Baker gets all moody and reads books. With an awesome "piano" theme tune.
