Yes its a very walled garden but its a great one.

Are you interested in the 1+1 Nexus?
Also just try the Moto X from Amazon - literally nothing to lose.

I haven't been deciding on a new phone for over a year!![]()
Only phones that I was thinking of moving to where the htc one, moto x and nexus 5 in the last year, didn't bother with the one though after HTC's announcement about the one s and updates, not even a full year of support......
Really liked the GS 4 but touchwiz is gash, phone was laggy/slow and camera was nice, however, only good for shots where people/things don't move.
As for iphone, never! Hate the huge bezel, don't like iOS, no choice and lastly don't want to support apple![]()

Didn't even know what it was until you brought it up![]()
Sounds very promising! But 5.5" is pretty big and knowing oppo design/phones, bezel will probably be "quite" big.....
And what a crap name for a phone too![]()

You need to get with the programme Nexus, you've been away for too long
The OneplusOne is going to be a stonker of a phone and cheap as well £290 for the base 16Gb version.

Indeed stoosh, haven't really followed the phone tech. news stuff since getting my nexus 7 2013![]()
It does look to be very good, just wish phone manufacturers would stop with all these big devices, 5" is the max I can go.
BTW have you owned/used a moto x? If yes, what did you think of it?

Absolutely love stock android on my N7, only area I want to see a huge improvement is the camera app, which should be coming soonish.....

hehe true!Absolutely love stock android on my N7, only area I want to see a huge improvement is the camera app, which should be coming soonish.....
If I didn't have the nexus 7, I would probably be more tempted by the bigger devices....
Ah yeah remember you posting that about storage now. Yup 32GB would be nice since apps and games are getting bigger these days, thankfully I am not much of a tablet/phone gamer so storage isn't too much of an issue for me, mainly just store lots of photos and video recordings and I am not much of a music person, only got about 2-3GB worth of music
Right, think I am going to go with the moto x for def. now!![]()

You know what? I went to the extra hassle, expense, and worry to import a 32GB model, but in the final analysis I don't think it was worth it: I'm on gifffgaff's 1GB plan and NEVER use all my allowance, so between Dropbox, Play Music, Feedly, and all the other online services I use, I think I could have afforded to just stream and download everything I needed and not even filling up the 16Gb model's paltry storage. I have yet to copy a single track of music onto the phone. So unless you're stuck on some crappy 250MB plan (in which case you might as well be using a Nokia 3310 frankly), I wouldn't let the lack of an SD card slot dissuage you.
If you really really need extra storage (you shoot lots of 1080p video, you have lots of games installed, whatever), the Z1 Compact is similar size to the Moto X, has an sd slot, and its price has fallen to only slightly more than the Moto X.
Z1 Compact is no match for this masterpiece![]()

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!
Honestly you won't be disappointed, as you've pointed out I'm not exactly short of a phone but I am actually missing my X very much and thats with an S4 and iPhone 5 on hand with a Z2 and S5 coming.
The X really hammers that sweet spot of screen size and quality, build quality and materials, fuss free software and perfectly serviceable smartphone camera.
On pretty much every count you can find a handset that'll do it better but always has bigger compromises somewhere else.
In fact thats it, I think thats the pivotal point, Moto X present the least compromise out of all of the contenders.
DO IT.
And if you send it back with some nonsense excuse over a slightly grainy photo I'll hurt you.

Just need to price up some SIM deals now![]()
Its great you've realised that and I have to say I wonder how many other people who give it the whole "16GB THIS IS AN OUTRAGE" or "OMG THE BATTERY IS NON REMOVABLE!" thing ever use the "features" they're demanding.
