Some people need to grow a pair, if you see something behind a spoiler tag and you are concerned about spoiling the show then don't click. It's exactly the same way you don't go and read the wiki articles telling you the plot of the books if you don't want that spoiled, if you can't cope with that then you only have your own self discipline to blame

Watched the latest episode last night on nowtv, no longer feel compelled to torrent the episodes now and the lack of adverts is great. I'd completely forgotten about the whole necklace/hairnet thing until I read this thread. Though I am slightly disappointed by the lack of coldhands with Bran etc, I quite enjoyed his short appearance in the books, hopefully he appears later..

I haven't looked behind these spoiler tags, but I've RTM'ed them. Everyone should be clear on the rules, so there is no need for the tags whatsoever.

If you are posting plot spoilers from the books, you will get suspended, if you are discussing Tv episodes which have been aired, there is no need for them!

This.

Please stop it. Can't we just have no discussion other than what's been shown on TV. We really don't give a monkeys if you've read the book. We haven't and this thread is for the TV show.

Maybe Maccy should seriously think about the suspensions.

What about Jokes in poor taste like my previous spoiler.

Hmm never read the first page before and half the threads in here seem to work differently regarding spoilers so I've just got the in the habit of spoiler tagging anything that could be a spoiler - never read the books so nothing I've posted is directly based on that but some things come from discussion with people who may or have so I'm not always sure whether its speculation or based on the books.

Unfortunately, I can't comment or remove items I know nothing about as I'm not watching the series (sorry seasons) but the matter is in hand I believe.. However, if you entering into a TV discussion thread then surely there's always going to be a good likelihood of it containing spoilers of some kind.. My advice is to stay clear and don't click on the reveal spoiler tag.. just my penny's worth.

How about you just resist the temptation to click on the spoiler tags? They exist for a reason, the clue is in the name and they're in response to posts that ask specific questions that are also in spoiler tags.

How about you read the title of the thread, then read what the mods have advised

Removes my off-topic 'spoiler' but not the actual book spoilers.

GG

Have a nice holiday!

Littlefinger has had a lot of power until recently though. Robert Baratheon was very much a backseat driver of his kingship, letting his court do all the decision making, this gave Littlefinger a lot of power. Once Robert died a young boy who was not old enough to rule became king, although as he got older he became old enough and started to like making all the decisions. There is definitely motive for Littlefinger to have done it, albeit quite weak and petty, however nothing at all to actually suggest that he is behind it.

On the question of motive, I've been thinking of his "chaos is a ladder" speech with Varys late last season, and Varys' comments that Littlefinger would see the entire kingdom burn if he could be "King of the ashes." If his motive is to create chaos, what better way than to have the King murdered, using a third party as a proxy (Tyrells), and by chance have someone else implicated in the murder (Tyrion)? Littlefinger could not possibly know how Joffrey and Tyrion would have behave at the wedding, but that's why he chose the wedding as the best place to kill Joffrey. Everyone hated Joffrey, everyone was at the wedding and everyone suspects everyone else except for the person who wasn't there at all. It creates the perfect Who Shot Mr Burns scenario. Chaos.

Littlefinger's aim is for everyone else to simply kill each other until nobody is left but himself. I don't know if he gains any more power directly from this, but I think this must be only one aspect of a larger plan. A plan that included betraying Eddard, who's execution effectively started the war with the North.

Uh huh.. How about you stop pretending to be a moderator and maybe pull that stick out a little bit?

Can anyone tell me the reasoning behind HBO not letting viewers outside of the US watching via Netflix or the like?

Has no one told them the extortionate prices our satellite and cable services charge us for their product?

Guys did you not see the bit about no spoilers? I don't want to have to start dishing out lengthy bans.

The rule is you can talk about the episode once it's been shown in the UK, which is 9pm on Mondays.

I've just edited the above posts which contained spoilers to make a point, if you do it again you'll be suspended, probs for 7 days regardless of history. Not only does it annoy me, it annoys a lot of people judging from the RTMs.

You have been warned!

No, it's quite clear what it means. You just want it to mean something else.

FFS, is it really that hard you for to NOT click a spoiler if you don't want things spoiled?

It's difficult when there's books already out.

I would request that you guys try and avoid talking about anything from the books, and anything that does talk about something put in spoiler tags.
If in doubt then use spoiler tags, or just don't post at all.

Can we not just introduce all involved in the argument to your avatars "little friend"?

Cheers Maccy. It beggars belief why people feel the need to post anything vaguely spoilerish in the Tv thread. We all know the books have been written, but the vast majority of us don't want to know what happens and we come into this thread to talk about the Tv episodes and to speculate about what could or might happen. In my opinion, it crosses the line when people start discussing the books because they spoil what is to come in the Tv series.

If people want to post spoilers (in tags or not) and discuss the books, go and start a book thread...because this is for the Tv series!!!
