So you had it for a day and a half and you didn't bench one single game/bench thread but you had your 290 for less than a day and had loads of benches done..... :o

I can't wait to give my thoughts on the 295X2 I have coming but won't supply proof... :p
 
They're the same card performance wise in games I dont give a single **** about brand specific games and optimizations and you shouldnt either unless you play Dirt or Batman and ONLY that, its not like one or the other card CANT run this or that game. Threads like this is getting abundant and annoying.

For firestrike and mining get the 290.
For Valley/Heaven and cuda get the 780.

Really... Do you really have to start a thread on this subject? People are gonna tell you to buy whatever brand they like the most.

Get whatever card you like the looks of the most and whatever fits your price range. It does NOT matter in games, ESPECIALLY not at 1080p.

Dont listen to tasteless **** like this, Nv cards arent immune to problems. Not to say AMD doesnt have problems as well as Nvidia.

The OP has had MULTIPLE threads about issues with MULTIPLE AMD 200 series GPU's he has owned/RMA'd

I have no clue why he still is asking the same Q's over and over again weeks later and I have said my part to him in all threads and he knows my opinion.

So its not tasteless "whatever" you stared out and if you read his threads you would know this.

Hi I'm not baits in fact I would say I love to buy mad the underdog as it's struggling to compete with intel and as a result development of CPUs has slowed down so I love to buy mad products.

BUT

I have had 4 mad graphics cards 2900xt 5830 7770 and all of them have ran hot and died in different builds. Sure they outperformed nvidia at same price point but nvidia have build quality you get what you pay for had two nvidia cards now own 780 runs cool and performs well no issues plus amazing support and warranty. It's kind of like cars Japanese vs German cheap performance vs build quality. You get what you pay for

The facts here are not to do with AMD vs Nvidia but :

The OP has had multiple issues with multiple new AND 200 series GPU's

so

1) He is not too clued up and he is the issue so an IBK error.

or

2) He is simply trolling.

or

3) He is legit and has had pure bad luck.

Even with #3 being true (my belief) I would not take another chance (lottery) on another 200 series GPU.

Some games will run better on nVidia, and with others it will be benefical to use AMD. Even then, it's unlikely you can go wrong as both cards are very fast anyway. Are you going to be bothered if one brand gives you 80fps vs 75 fps?

It's number 3 and have Just had bad luck it happens sometimes and you can't help it.

But it does not mean that if I buy an Amd card again it will be the same or vice versa.

It's good to know what you get for your money as it is quite a lot so I want to spend wisely and get the best card.

This is why I started this thread so I can listen to other people's experienced and learn something along the way

Is there something wrong with that?

Anyone know the length of the EVGA 780 Classified?

is it about 11.5 inches?

All the op needs to look at are the benchmark threads on here with 70% (a guesstimate ) of the top 50 cards in each bench being nvidia 780 , 780ti , or titans.

Nothing more to debate really except features which all cards can do except physx or mantle.
