Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th April - 22nd April 2014]

Be that as it may, I certainly hope the board are looking at replacements. If a proven quality manager is available, why continue with this very average one? Our 'experiment' has failed, as much as I didn't want it to..

another disaster of a summer would happen if that was the case. I cant see a handover and the quality /quantity of players Utd need for next season to come in before the world cup.

Thiat just wont happen

It's been done for two seasons in a row so I don't see why not. Moyes kept him on when he wasn't fit and he suffered for it.

And those two seasons are very rare in RvP's season, if anything thats a blip + he is now the worse side of 30 and imo isnt worth the risk of keeping him and paying the huge wages.

I'm sure we could find someone who wants him. I doubt a manager is going to decline the job based on the fact we have Fellaini. It's not really an issue.

Same issue with Nani though, unlikely to find anyone to agree to the same wages.

A good manager and a couple of the right players (plus no Europe) would be able to get the team playing well at least. It's a total joke at the moment, let's not sugar coat it.

Maybe, maybe not.

They can be subsidised though. If we HAVE to get rid of them, it's not an issue.

Moyes has still got a very respectable away record this season, which people want to ignore.

Also Moyes has done well in Europe in general.

Maybe, maybe not.

His injury record speaks for itself. No maybe about it

Which goes back to the ~£20m loss first mentioned lol

We're not going to agree on Moyes. He's clearly not the right man. If you disagree, fine.

You can't see into the future, Frank. (Or can you? Give me the lottery numbers if so :p)

United are utterly impotent.

Someone will need to explain to me how Nani is still at the club, not only that but is given an extended contract by Moyes? Yet another in a long line of **** ups by one of the worst managerial appointments of all time.

Surely you can work out why he got an extended contract and why anyone that was there would have done the same.

I think he needs a real chance of getting in ALL the players he wants, which he was never going to be able to do last summer or during the season.

(I would say that about any manager that was chosen with the same current record)

I never said I could , but RvP is highly unlikely (while getting considerably older) to magically remain suitably fit for the remainder of his contract.

Just look at his Arsenal fitness record for all the proof you need

The only reason I can think of is to be able to sell him ... good luck with that.

Anyone else would have done the same? I doubt it.

Like there. Decent first touch, turned the defender, then had nobody at all to give it to and made a mistake. Welbeck would be a much better player in a good team.
