David Moyes disgracefully sacked

Even as an Arsenal fan, I feel sorry for him.

If it happens, he will need counselling; perhaps more. No club will want him.

The fact that United haven't denied the rumours speaks volumes, he looks a goner.
Indeed, they'd have just come out and said it's a load of rubbish and David Moyes is our man. Fact they haven't tells you all you need to know.

Suspect there is some truth in the stock exchange situation, don't think you are supposed to do anything which might affect share price without informing the stock exchange first. So sometime between 9pm tonight and tomorrow lunchtime I'd expect the reapers scythe to fall!

The huge difference between Pool and Utd to me is hunger/desire. Rogers has quite clearly got them fired up yet United are in disarray.

He's still got years of EPL experience and turned Everton around, I reckon most mid to lower positioned teams would take him.

Moyes: "I'll be trying my best to clear my desk by tonight, hopefully it's something we can achieve but it'll be difficult."

even if Moyes doesn't go, it's a huge make or break summer for united. They need a huge overhaul.

They need a minimum two fullbacks, a minimum two center backs, a minimum two center midfielders and at least on winger.

Can this be done with the lack of income that no CL will bring to them, whilst also keeping them aligned to the FFP rules? It's a big ask.

It's a very important transfer window, but even without signing 8~ players we should be able to get back in the top four without too much trouble.

A few of the right players and a much better manager would make things look a lot better pretty quickly.

I guess mathematically being out of the CL for next season did it for him, that was probably the least the Glazers expected out of him.

Go out now and try and tempt Klopp or Simeone.

Best news Man Utd fans have heard all season long probably, David Moyes was never the right man for the job.

Fergies hand picked his son to be next manager.

It's probably going to be announced Moyes is gone once they can get Fergie drunk enough. I can't wait for his next interview...

I think it's plain to see that it'll be pretty tough to win anything next season, especially if 'Pool are now genuinely up there at the top. Being out of CL might actually help to concentrate on other trophies.

It's clear to see that the glory days are over, for now at least. With the amount of change that is required it'll take more than one season.

I wonder where he'd go after this?

Relegation fodder, a sunderland or drop down a league. I'd be happy to have him as defensive coach at Everton ;) Give him some plastic coins and let him play at buying players for next to nothing.

I don't know how many of the players he got for cheap like Cahill, Arteta, Lescott etc was down to him or the scouts. I guess in coming years we will find out...

That and perhaps, if there is £100/£150m+ to be spent, the Glazers/board didn't trust Moyes to get the right players in. So failure to finish 4th and a lack of trust in Moyes to spend money means his time is up. We just have to wait for the NYSE to close for Utd to make the announcement.
