David Moyes disgracefully sacked

He probably gets backhanders for not criticising Moyes on Sky, I read earlier that an ex Man United player has been suspended from MUTV for saying that Moyes is out of his depth.

david may iirc.

the presenter apparently cut him off mid chat and he didn't get to say any more on the subject :p

Wenger I thought started the season well especially coughing up all the money for Özil, Nice to see him buy a quality player.

Moyes...well he bought Fellaini LOL

If we get a top manager.
If he spends £100M+.
He will absolutely compete for the title next year. This is a given - we are Man Utd after all.
We won't give up until the whistle has blown.

It just shows how much our standards have fallen - that fans now believe that we cannot win the league. Remember this, just 10 months ago, our team won the league, with ease. As quickly as Moyes sucked the confidence/ability out of our team, a top manager will instill it back into the players. This is the job of a manager.

You don't go from champions to has-beens in 10 months. Its actually impossible for this to happen UNLESS something drastic is going on behind the scenes. In this case, that was Moyes. But now the cancer is being removed, our players should now return to their previous performance levels. Moyes can no longer be used as an excuse and the players will know this.

We have a great team. Don't let Moyes tell you otherwise.

A bit arrogant no? You were Man Utd afterall in the years between 1967-1993.

You think Liverpool thought they would be back challenging from 1990 onwards, just because they were Liverpool and had dominated previously?

The bottom line is, the Man Utd squad is mediocre. The midfield alone needs a out £100 million spent on it to bring it up to a similar standard to the top clubs. It also looks likely that a substantial amount will have to be spent on the back-line, given Vidic leaving, Ferdianand being more or less finished and the likes of Jones, Smalling and Evans clearly not being the required standard.

Anyone think giving Rooney the new contract basically lost him the support of pretty much every other player?

It's sad but we have to do it. Sometimes a man just isn't right for the job and you have to accept that and move on. Throwing even more money at the problem might band aid the flood but eventually his lack of ability at the highest level will be clear.
