I frequently play / have played AC4, Tomb Raider, InFamous SS, Resogun, Trials Fusion, Outlast, Zenpinball etc with no issues regarding lag, I have the direct connection setting enabled and a Asus N55U Router.

If the lag your experiencing is worth classing as unplayable that definitely sounds like there is a problem somewhere in the setup.

router makes no difference in direct connection :o

I think it's usually when the store gets updated which can be between 3pm and 5pm roughly, although apparently it's updated as late as 8pm before but that was a one off heh.

I'm on the Phoenix server, and as for lag, well I saw none last night, but I have my vita connected to the wifi network rather than just the PS4, so might just depend on your set up.
 
Any good games I've missed since release other than inFamous? Looking at the PSN store and there seems to be a few more now but not sure if any are worth getting.

I prefer ff xiv on vita :O! Reading all the text on my tv from my sofa is a massive eye strain and its hard to tell whats going on sometimes! But via remote play i find it easier to focus on what im doing and also im able to tell whats going on when it gets a bit hectic :)

Works pretty flawlessly (local wifi, not tried remote play outside of home network)
 
Anyone having problem with licences? Twice now I've had to restore licences to get digital games working. And digital games don't work when PSN is down? I thought Sony said always online wasn't necessary.

You have to be connected to psn to verify the licence or something.

If I log into my ps4 quickly and try and start a game I'll get errors. I have to wait before logging in or log out then back in again.

Try my method.

Turn auto login off and wait before logging in or log out then back in but do it slowly.
 
I have two accounts on my PS4 so I always have to chose one to log into, it doesn't auto log into one over the other. I've seen that the games are normally locked for the first few seconds before becoming available. But twice I've got the error "application cannot be verified as you're not connected to the internet." Even when PSN is up and I can access the store and browser.

I've only got two digital games. Resogun (PS+) and Trials (Purchased). Both the same problem.
