I just learned how to recoil protanks the other day before I broke mine when i was drunk!!

I must say that a recoiled protank at 0.9 Ohms was a better vape then my £120 ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is until your coil scorches the insulator. If you think burnt cotton is bad... Ever smoked a car tyre before? :)

I agree though a well coiled PT single coil in a PT2, Davide or even better a PT mini 2 can be amazing sauce.

Vape Mail !

VapeMail_zps8cc32c0b.jpg

Few shinies arrived this week :]

Back row, left to right: Aspire Nautilous, Kanger Aerotank, iTaste MVP2 (with nautilus attached).
Juices: (Northern Vapour) Fresh Mint (not menthol) Vimtony, Direct Currant, Raspberry Ice Cream & Custard
(Epic Juices) Banilla, Main Squeeze, Airheads & Wake n Vape.

They all smell lovely, Im interested to try the custard which doesn't have the pastry smell and hopefully the taste, Im still not convinced about desserts yet, but having not tried GVC etc Ive nothing to compare it to.

Got the Vimtony (Vimto) in at the moment, its quite nice, but theres a flavour in there I can't quite put my finger on, its not unpleasant though and not a chemical taste. Ill try and get through a few flavours today and see how we go :]

More Vapemail should be arriving this week, Kanthol, drill bits, pliers etc etc.

How does the nautilus perform, is it recoilable or do you have to buy the screw in ones like on iclear for example? Very tempted to invest in one solely because it looks awesome :p

That is about their lifetime. The coil costs what 2-3 quid likely? (don't know what you are using) that is less than I spent a day on tobacco. The only other option is to build your own coils, you might be able to recoil what you are using or you can buy many types of rebuildable atties.

As Crowort said, if you atty can be rebuilt, do it yourself.
What are you using?

I can recoil a Protank (old single coil) for about 5p :D

Using an Aspire BDC at the moment and been buying replacement coils.

Not too expensive, but a pain :p

I works well, I've got some 'Vimtony' in at the moment which is quite nice, but theres a background taste to it i can't quite put my finger on, ill change out the tank later and try some different flavour, but aside that it vapes well, slightly tighter than id like but not over tight. The airflow ring is a dream, clicks into place, unlike the ProTank.

The coils can be recoiled, Rip Tripper has a video. Im going to try doing the pro tank ones first as they look a bit easier to do, I have taken them apart and re wicked them before without much issues (and correct tools).

The Nautilus heads CANNOT be recoiled once they have passed their lifetime.

They have a wadding element placed around the cup that cannot be replaced once it gets ganked up. This is made up of a silica mesh and a porous backing material. Remove it to clean it and good luck getting it back in - that's the head ruined - it will not wick.

RipTrip rebuild is putting his own microcoil into a NEW HEAD - which kind of defeats the object wouldn't you say?

However all is not lost. An enterprising 3rd party is currently producing a reduildable replacement head for the Nautilus that will retail at £9.95 - less than the cost of a 5 pack of Nautilus heads.

Look here: http://vapenquit.co.uk/shop/arriving-soon/nautilus-re-buildable-coil/

Yep you're right, he did use a new head and removed the stock coils. But like you say, and I did wonder about the material on the inside won't last forever. Cheers for the link, interesting stuff. Ill concentrate on recoiling the Pro Tank for now, as use the Nautilus as I do it to keep the stress down :]

Yes well I found this out the hard way after buying the missus a Nautilus and being unable to rework a used coil. A sudden dawning realisation appeared that Trips build is all but pointless and I hope no-one else is mislead in the same way - those heads are pricey (although to be fair they contain two pretty well made coils anyway and vape extremely well).

I am finding my Aerotank and MVP V2 to be a great combination now. I can see me being settled with this for quite some time. Anyone else using this combo?

Yep, as of this morning. Very happy with it so far. 9W with 'Main Squeeze' juice and its lovely.

I have just picked up a starter kit from ecigwizard.

Can anyone suggest a decent Cartomiser/Tank for the eGo 900 battery, for when this one needs to be replaced?

What is the exact taste of the Digbys Gunpowder?

A few days on from getting my new shinies and juice (a few posts up). I couldn't be happier.

The MVP 2 is class, coming close to a 1000 puffs and the thing is still on green power level. It may not be the most attractive thing in the world, but its a nice change from the phallic mods.

The juices Ive tried so far are also great. The Epic Juices (shame about the name) I have tried are also superb. Main Squeeze is a lovely sherbet lemon flavour, with that little bit of fizzyness you also get in sherbet lemons, Im getting a hint of pineapple, although thats not listed as being in there :] I'll definitely be buying more of this.

The Northern Vapour ones are also very nice and flavourful, The Vimtony is very fruity and blackcurranty, theres just a niggly little taste to it that Im putting down to the hint of grape (I've had grape in the past and never been impressed) its nice and will finish the bottle, but won't buy again. The Direct Currant can be simply identified as Blackcurrant 'Tunes' including the menthol part, you'd struggle to taste any difference between this and the actual sweets, very nice.

This weekend ill get around to try the rest of the juices all being well. Really looking forward to those. The last few days have really reopened my eyes to vaping again, I was getting a bit 'meh' about what I had, but now Im back and loving it.

Totally wicked doing everything 25% off for their website launch now. Picked up a pint of mixing supplies for £40, so that's me for another 6 months or so :) I do like the plat ice nic.

Noticed this earlier on twitter, Im going to get some of their Patriot Range Lemonade, one of the only liquids I like from them.

Guys its payday and I'm looking for some new vapes.

Very interested in an apple pie and a custard one, any suggestion?!

Also any others people care to recommend, I tend to prefer the fuity ones. Not keen on tobacco flavours.

Thanks!

Northern Vapour do some nice fruity ones, as well as Epic Juices (they stock this too). Theres a few reviews on them on YT if you want :] I got a custard from NV as well, but haven't tried it yet, giving it a while to steep.

Scopes for your Apple Tart and try the fruits too - the Blueberry is amazing: http://www.scopesejuice.co.uk/

As for custard, there's differing opinion as always but my favourite is Mystic Juice Vanilla Dream: http://www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epage...ectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Categories/Mystic

Mystic seems a little steep, is it worth the extra cost?

I've been using chocolate/custard/apple pie/banana nut bread/vanilla ice cream in the last 5 weeks or so and fancy something fruity with almost a refreshing menthol/minty hit.

Having said that, the Ice Mint flavour is what stands out, anyone tried?
