New purchaser at Overclockers offering deals on External Hard drives

I think it reflects worse on the company that the OP is in hiding and not coming back to take his abuse constructive criticism like a man.

Seems he's already got the hang of creating a GD thread then. :D

This is perfect. Asshats. Asshats, everywhere. :D

OcUK have a brand and an image to keep up. Most of the advertisements on these forums are in a set format, with images, links and a description. These forums aren't here for your pleasure, they generate revenue for the business and create a community who stay loyal to the firm.

If I was managing someone new who could effectively reach hundreds of thousands of potential clients, I'd want to check over it and make sure it reaches the standards and quality expected before it's sent out.

Come on man, realistically it's absolutely no big deal at all.

He can make a better post next time with all the trimmings, and it's just a point of amusement from our side, not a sign of any actual damage done to us or to the company.

No harm was done, so lets not blow it out of proportion.

Standards and quality, get over yourself.

Gibbo's threads are normally replied with people asking why he feels the need to start every post with "Hi there"

I fear for the business that is Ocuk because of this dudes post, I really do

You can not be serious....
You don't win peoples business on a forum by being professional, you win it by being a human being.

I like that you did it right in the storage section, and your first GD post was a perfect flop just the way it should have been.

BRB must overcloak my pc!

'Overcloakers' is quite some typo as well. 'a' is neither near 'o' or 'k' , or even 'l' on a keyboard, so quite why there is an 'a' in there is anybody's guess.

Overcloakers isn't even a word so it wouldn't have been an auto-correct either.

Pretty impressive.

In fact it is quite superb. That was his first greeting to everyone and the third word he had written on these forums :D

I wish capes/cloaks were socially acceptable. I would wear the balrogs out of those.

Post in storage section was ok. This one seems more of a heads up than the actual post. Still, got his point across. Made me look at the prices at least, which is the point of the post i guess.

Oh look, 4 posts in the "Latest News, Deals & Special Offers" forums advertising OcUK products by 4 different members of OcUK staff. Note how all of them have very similar formatting, layout, pictures and links:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18514008

It would seem to me that consistency is deemed important when advertising products and rightly so.

Just out of genuine curiosity, do you suffer any form of autism/aspergers?

Either way, no-one said formatting doesn't matter at all, we just said it's not a big deal and he can easily remake the post. No harm done.

Not at all, I made a point for which I was attacked for so I backed it up.

I agree no harm has been done, I pointed out originally that I thought it was poor management for not checking the post and I stand by that.

I think they have forgiven me now though, Neil79 might not have though!

Forgiven ages ago mate! There's only one staff member I have a grudge against and it isn't a pc gaming mod :p

On topic I wonder if the OP is a new polish worker for OCUK lol ;)

Poor management? hahaha.

Maybe "management" have more important things to do than check staff forum posts.

This guy has been lynched lol.
