Mourinho charged for sarcasm !!

As soon as it was clear that the ref missed it, it was a given he'd get banned. The additional game is simply because it would have been his 2nd red card offense of the seasons.

Given the lack of seriousness of the offence, he'll get a reprimand, or a token fine.

Faria ought to get a proper ban or a hefty fine though. He looked like he was going to hit the ref given the chance, and credit to Mourinho for being one of those to haul him back.

He should be charged for fielding a weak team and gifting Liverpool the league, if he actually does this on sunday

A weakened team that will almost certainly consist of Matic, Salah, Lampard, Mikel and Cole and very likely at least one of, if not both of Oscar and Schurrle. This weakened team is likely to cost well over £100m and would have cost a fair bit more than any team Liverpool could field.

If Liverpool win the league it will be because they have been the best team over 38 games.

To say they have been gifted the title is silly.

And very harsh on Liverpool, as they really have deserved it.

League tables do not lie yo!

Unlucky in the FA Cup Cas! Still at least you've got the fact you're the second best team in Sheffield to fall back on :D ;) :p. ( I was secretly really hoping United would get promotion :( )

Not spoke to you in a while! I'll drop you a text in a bit, should aim to get to a game next season together! :D.

Using the cost of a player or team to gauge how good it is is such a lame point.
You'd rather face Luiz than Terry, Torres than Eto'o, Cole than Azpi for instance that's £85m v £7m.
A team with Fellaini, Torres, Carroll, Lescott & Downing in would cost a fortune but wouldn't be much good, not because they're not fair players, just that they wouldn't have a clue how to play with each other.
Liverpool are currently the best team in the PL and they cost less than Man.U., Man.C & Chelsea probably Spurs and Arsenal too, what matters is simply how good the sum of the parts are.

I know we're better than you if that's what you're saying ;)

My point was, despite the way some people are going on, you're not going to be picking a side made up of under-13's and the Chelsea pensioners. When you've got a squad of players that cost well over £300m to assemble there's no excuses for having to field weakened teams.

No matter what side Chelsea put out on Sunday it will, at the very least, be competitive and most probably a stronger side than all but a couple of sides in the League could field.

Whilst that's true, it is still going to be weaker than their strongest team, which is all the point was wasn't it?

So whats changed this season then compared to others? Forgive me if Im wrong but isnt this an issue for teams that get the semi final of a competition every season? This is why teams have big squads afterall.

Its not like we can field our strongest teams either is it...?

Strangely enough I havent heard a peep out of Simone, whose team play later than Chelsea this weekend I might add..

Nothing has changed, except Mourinho is back with his mind games. Taggart and Wenger did/do the same.

I agree, but surely the rule behind the 25 man squad is that managers should be allowed to use whichever members of that squad they feel are appropriate to the upcoming games and their overall season?

Managers rest players all the time. I don't see the problem with it - if Chelsea had done this at Christmas, before this match became a "title decider", nobody would have said much.

Not quite. The point I initially responded to was that Chelsea were going to field a weak team and gift Liverpool the League.

Yes Chelsea may very well rest a few players and not field their strongest side but whatever 11 they put out won't be weak and gift Liverpool anything. Their side will be full of multimillion pound internationals and most probably be stronger than anything most other sides could field.
