If you think the heavy MGs do "little to bugger all" vs infantry then I would be inclined to say the issue there is with your aim and nothing more. Damage model and fall off for is ridiculously op.

Well considering I'm getting hitmarkers I very much doubt it. I've used the top mounted tank turret against infantry loads of times and got 6 or 7 hit markers only for the infantry in question not to die. How does that work? Maybe its been miraculously fixed in one of the 35 patches this turd has had and its been a while since I used the heavy mg but a while ago it behaved exactly like that. Same thing goes for the mobile aa, they should decimate infantry but if they're any kind of distance from you at all its hit marker after hitmarker with a kill taking ages, considering that thing is a high powered bullet hose infantry should be swiss cheeses if they're anywhere near it.
Vids good, pity about the game. He should have done a realistic version with people emptying magazines into enemies for it to do nothing or have tanks exchanging shells missing by 10 feet or more but have the game still say it hit, or have tank shells hitting helicopters but the game says nope and nothing happens. Throw in the paper planes that can somehow fly along at sub tortoise speeds (something else that was a major complaint in bf3 the never bothered to fix) to unload their main cannons into anything they feel numerous times over, and the heavy mg's that somehow do little to bugger all against infantry and you've got the makings of an amusing video.

It does. The standing HMGs are absolutely devastating, takes about 3-4 hits for me at range to get a kill, up close its more like 2. The RHIB is one of the most powerful vehicles in the game cos its so manoeuvrable and its HMG just shreds everything. Mobile AA is stupidly OP, especially with zunis and 30mm cannons - can take down tanks easily enough. Gunners LMG on the tank requires about 3-4 hitmakers at medium range, 6 or so at long range for a kill or its a 2 shot headshot. Again, either you're missing or shooting off their toes.
The only crap HMGs are the ones on the transport chopper, but they're not strictly HMGs anyway.

IMO the aa is fine as it is against infantry, in the beta/game first released, it was stupidly OP against everything. The only time, it will take loads of hits to kill one infantry is if you are "literally" trying to snipe across the map with it.
I can get a far higher k/d, score etc. when using the 30mm cannons and zunis in the aa than I can with the mbt tank, LAV or jets.
Well that's not my experience of it, all I seem to get is numerous hitmarkers when id have expected a kill much sooner. =/
