This is pretty good:


Vids good, pity about the game. He should have done a realistic version with people emptying magazines into enemies for it to do nothing or have tanks exchanging shells missing by 10 feet or more but have the game still say it hit, or have tank shells hitting helicopters but the game says nope and nothing happens. Throw in the paper planes that can somehow fly along at sub tortoise speeds (something else that was a major complaint in bf3 the never bothered to fix) to unload their main cannons into anything they feel numerous times over, and the heavy mg's that somehow do little to bugger all against infantry and you've got the makings of an amusing video.

If you think the heavy MGs do "little to bugger all" vs infantry then I would be inclined to say the issue there is with your aim and nothing more. Damage model and fall off for is ridiculously op.

Well considering I'm getting hitmarkers I very much doubt it. I've used the top mounted tank turret against infantry loads of times and got 6 or 7 hit markers only for the infantry in question not to die. How does that work? Maybe its been miraculously fixed in one of the 35 patches this turd has had and its been a while since I used the heavy mg but a while ago it behaved exactly like that. Same thing goes for the mobile aa, they should decimate infantry but if they're any kind of distance from you at all its hit marker after hitmarker with a kill taking ages, considering that thing is a high powered bullet hose infantry should be swiss cheeses if they're anywhere near it.

LOL lmgs are beasts in the game :D i call them robocop guns :p

mg4 is just too op.

I'm talking about the turret mounted mg's like on top of tanks, jeeps etc. Last time I used one (which admittedly was months ago) it seemed to take forever to take down infantry with them. No idea how the support class guns work as I've not tried them.
 
tbh I find them to be hilarious OP.

You can kill infantry from ridiculous ranges with them. Doesn't matter what rooftop they are launching their javelin from, you can kill them.

It does. The standing HMGs are absolutely devastating, takes about 3-4 hits for me at range to get a kill, up close its more like 2. The RHIB is one of the most powerful vehicles in the game cos its so manoeuvrable and its HMG just shreds everything. Mobile AA is stupidly OP, especially with zunis and 30mm cannons - can take down tanks easily enough. Gunners LMG on the tank requires about 3-4 hitmakers at medium range, 6 or so at long range for a kill or its a 2 shot headshot. Again, either you're missing or shooting off their toes.

The only crap HMGs are the ones on the transport chopper, but they're not strictly HMGs anyway.

I agree with the gunner 50 cal though, it is ****! They are only good when the tank isn't moving, which is very rare.

mini guns are great.

coaxial LMG and HMG for the main tank driver are superb too, I use HMG as you can easily snipe across the map with that thing.

Haha. I think we should arrange another OCUK vs. TFU fun match again. Saying that Nexus loves a Tank, so maybe inf only :eek::eek::eek:

Didn't realise it has been 5 days since I played BF4! :eek: So will try to get on for a couple of games tonight at the usual sort of time.

Mobile aa in the beta vs infantry decimated them, then it got changed for release. Same in bf3 early on they shredded infantry and considering the rounds they fire and the speed they fire them at it made sense, then the all knowing dice decided it was too powerful vs infantry and changed them. The only time you kill infantry fast in a mobile aa is if you're right on top of them, any distance and it takes quite a few hitmarkers before they finally drop.


As for the mounted hmg's early on in the game it took quite a few hits before infantry finally dropped, I'm not sure when they got changed as I rarely play the game but a while back I do remember seeing plenty of complaints about them.

As said unless you're right on top of them it takes a good amount of hits before they drop, the things a bullet hose firing high calibre rounds yet it still takes a good 6 or so solid hits before it can kill infantry from any real range.

Well that's not my experience of it, all I seem to get is numerous hitmarkers when id have expected a kill much sooner. =/

Now and again, I usually don't bother playing long after slapping a heli with a tank shell only to see it do absolutely nothing. That one really brings my **** to a boil :mad:
 
i find the drivers HMG on the tanks to be a bit **** sometimes. inf running right at me from about 20 yards and takes a good 4-6 hits to down people some times. rambo up in this ****!!!!! :p the gunners MG on the tank takes quite a few hits I find too.... and the AA xD swear the AA used to shred through ****** and now it takes a bit more focus and a few bursts to take down inf at range (see shooting snipers at other end of the map camping up n the hills on DAM :p )

might switch from the active noobs to the zuni and see how I fair with the AA. like the noob rockets though as just fire and forget and then rinse something with the chain guns xD
 
Zunis are only any good for ground targets obviously

Depends how you play AA. If you sit at the back defenesively, only focusing on air assets, its probably not worth your while.

If however you want to go drive it like a tank, the zunis will give you half a chance. You'll struggle if you come up against a good tank driver however..
