Name that stingy thingy

I'm pretty sure Hornets are not aggressive and actually pretty useful to have in your garden as they are great pest controllers.

I've always been of the opinion that hornets actually ARE aggressive, and very territorial and defensive around food sources. Bees aren't aggressive and do a lot of good however...

Though I've been stung by one so am probably biased!

Are they not 'ornets over your side of the pond in which case you're messing with a completely different species :p

Hornets and wasps are aggressive. Stupidly so.

Bees are better in my experience.

I have a feeling the bees around my house were being hunted.

Whatever you do don't kill bees....wasps yes but leave bees alone.

Bees are the link between humanity almost starving to death and staying alive.

I did a little investigation and CSI style detective work and i've unveiled the truth!

Be afraid!

If it is bothering a bee's nest it might just get it's striped rear handed to it, they swarm onto hornets and kill them by over heating them.

Are you sure it isn't a queen wasp?
We've had two today, one at home, one at work, both must have been disturbed, right bad moods from both, but very certainly wasps, and queens.
Anyway, hard to tell the colouring as it is quite dark in the picture.

Did you check the eves from the roof space side, removing the insulation to see if it can gain entry?

Pretty sure its one of them gliding ratmonkeys....

I would definitely be paying someone to errrr fix that problem. Probably burn the house down if I tried myself.

As others have mentioned might be worth checking the loft.

Though I fear that may be like the scene in Aliens where they check the roof crawl space.....
