what motherboard? its fine for caching but too small for an os imo, even 60gb is too small

the current prices of ssd's id be looking at 250gb minimum tbh

Why? As a purely Boot/OS drive, then it will be fine. I have a 120GB for my system drive. I have a lot of software too, and I've still only filled 70GB of it.

I had a 60gb and after a year with all the endless windows updates it was a struggle for space

it will work but later down the line you'll be struggling

current prices and futureproofing the 250gb is decent option,120gb aint bad either

60GB is fine for just OS and a few programs. I have a 256GB drive with a 60GB C: partition and am using exactly half for that.

You can clear the update cache now in Disk Cleanup.

This. I ran one for over a year, didn't struggle for space even with a fair few programs installed, even some games. You just have to be slightly disciplined, as in don't install your entire Steam library, and remove things when you're done with them. Disabling hibernation also helps.

Purely as a boot drive it'll be more than ample.

This. 32GB is fine for just OS and even a few programs if, as others have said, you manage it well.

Regarding the Windows Update issues, after 8 months I had 5GB of Windows Update Cache - quite a large amount. Keep on top of it and its a non-issue.
