Bristol giant water slide sees thrill-seekers soaked

Yeah. As a creative business we looked at a few places like Bath Road Studios, Paintworks and Temple Studios but they were all a bit... ****... and also very expensive for what you get. Queen Square on the other hand was cheaper, more central, more prestigious etc and just generally a lot better. It's not as creative (mostly solicitors and accountants and the like) but given everything else it's much better.

PS. You still owe me a Guinness. Are they serving them at Eat Drink Bristol?!

lol this was supposed to be an 'art exhibition'? Some idea you copied off an ancient youtube video more like. No wonder art is considered pretentious.

I was at a wedding yesterday so didn't bother applying when the sign up was opened. Although a great idea it could have been a bit more adventurous than that - looked a bit disappointing if I'm honest.

I was away this weekend so missed out on seeing it and didn't bother to enter the ballot for it...not too fussed really as I didn't expect it to be quite as crazy as they'd hyped it to be.

I did miss out on the St. Nick's and Small Street food stuff going on though and I'm kind of gutted about that. I'm often getting coffee from the various specialist places there and saw that there was some really good and interesting food and drink events going on whilst I was away. :(

The food stuff still has almost another two weeks. Ends 18th of may.

Then in a few months is Bristol comedy gardens. Already got tickets for that :)

Small Street was closed for food stuff and Small Street Espresso were doing food and drinks (but couldn't do espresso martinis due to licencing laws) and some other things. I understood that stuff to only be on the BH weekend though.

you did, i had deep fried soft shelled chilli crab and bbq pulled pork nom
