Problem is you are making a couple of false assumptions there...
* The UK couldn't or wouldn't come up with the sensible rules the EU has implemented itself.
* Those things, whilst good for the individual employee, don't have a negative impact on a country's/society's ability to grow wealth.
To expand, point one. Is it that the EU have forced the hand of an otherwise evil and infinite British ruling party or is that times have changed and we have all generally become a lot less ruthless? Also when it comes to employment law & trading standards, British law often exceeds EU regulations.
How often have you heard people moan about crazy H&S laws? From where I'm sitting modern H&S legislation seems to be less about protecting normal people from unscrupulous and skint flint employers and more about eliminating Darwin's theory of natural selection. Of course there should be laws preventing companies from supllying their staff with clearly inadequate safety equipment. But do we really need to regulate the bendability of cucumbers or forcing grocers to print the weight of 12 eggs in case stupid people can't tell what a dozen eggs are unless they have some kind of metric conversion handed to them?
The argument that without the EU we'd have a free-for-all, Victorian-style anarchy just doesn't hold water. Any country 100 years ago had less employee and consumer protection so it's general advancement in knowledge, morality and consumer education that has advanced standards and not some miraculous EU laws, which often go too far as shown above.

Let it be clear, UKIP polices are not racist in the slightest. Therefore it is not a racist party. Some within UKIP are racist (hopefully less now a few got the boot) but that does not mean the party is. Is the Labour party racist because of Diane Abbott? A bigot of the worse kind? She practically gets away with Murder and should be called up on her views more often then she is.
What a crazy rant. The point was that you seem to think or at least you are suggesting that you can't be racist because you have non-white people in your life, as if there aren't people who are racist against single groups of people.

Thank you for making my point so clearly. Carry on with your lame attempt with labels, the reason UKIP is getting popular is that people are fed up with the likes of you going around all high and mighty labelling people with horrible and degrading words, that's not how you engage with the general public. It's become so prevalent that it's like the 'boy who cried wolf' and people no longer are listening. All you're doing is pushing everyone to vote the way you don't want them to. So you're shooting yourself in the foot really.
