Will I need to upgrade my PSU for the 780ti?

Out of curiosity which PSU do you run?

I've said this time and again

The PSU is the heart of your machine - you don't cut corners and run the minimum required.

Why on earth someone would pay over a £1000 on a rig,
then try and save £30-40 is beyond me

I agree with both of you, Dice knows as many others do you don't need a mammoth PSU and I've seen people recommending way over the top PSU's for systems that just don't need them and I have been guilty of this in the past, you have rightfully stated not to cut corners and best not to run the minimum required and I agree trying to save a few quid on the PSU after spending a good deal on other components is just crazy.

To the OP, I would personally go for a 650W+ gold PSU for plenty of headroom, at least then you know you are not running your PSU to it's max, but I'd think about future proofing too, what if you ever decided to SLI/Crossfire? Remember, paying a little extra now for an over the top PSU is a good investment and while you may never need that extra it's good to know your PSU can easily run your expensive components without ever breaking into a sweat.
I purchased a 1200W Platinum PSU for a 4770k and two 780's purely because I was thinking that maybe sometime in the future I might want to add in a 3rd card and while some may think I'm daft I sleep very well at night in the knowledge my PSU finds my system a walk in the park.
DON'T SCIMP ON YOUR PSU.
