Show us your kitty cats

Hey guys, just a quick one, over the last 24 hours our Lola hasn't been sitting up much, normally she'll wander round, sit bby the door, in the office, near her bowl as Cats do, but she's always stopping and just laying on her side with her back legs stretched out on their side, she doesn't seem to be in any pain, lets her touch all over her back legs, lower spine etc.. and seems to be fine, nothing else has changed, same eating habits, same going out, wanting fuss etc.. just not sure if we should be worried or if she has just been having a lazy day!

Can't think of anything to worry about.

Been quite warm recently, ours tend to lay out on the kitchen floor when they get a bit hot to cool down. Might be something similar?

six kittens (one runt) and you need to register to watch live streams apparently
Gonna end it now, phone is starting to heat up :p

One word. HEAT!

My cats, last year, during the Summer were virtually comatose.
My Egyptian May would do everything in his power not to move.
As temperatures are heating up, I think you cat is attempting to adapt. During the evenings, when it gets cooler, check if your cat becomes more active.

Looked outside my window to see this.... Little present from gizmo!

You need to put a bell on your cat if you are going to let it outside

In the summer we use a comb on our cats to help them with relief from the heat. The comb removes any stray hairs, lets the heat trapped in their fur out and also scratches them, which they like :)

If the weather is very hot i dip the comb into water as i comb them. They then lick themselves all over :).

My cat doesn't have a bell either, no real need, I think the only point of a bell is to alert potential prey. So they can get away.

Thanks, yeah I was thinking heat, but it has maxed out at about 14 degrees here this past week and she doesn't do it to that degree even in summer!

After watching her start to slowlt sit satrday night & through sunday get more & more normal, i'm starting to think it was more to some general uncomfortableness rather than weather conditions, it was like she didn't want to sit down as it hurt, everything else she was doing normally.

Didn't help when I saw her (much bigger) brother chasing her last night swaiping behind her, lets face it,a swift claw in that area would have none of us wanting to sit down for a day or 2!!

No sign of blood or any physical trauma and she was sitting out at the door today perfectly normally, I'll chalk it down to a bump/weather for now, but anything else on this and I'll take her to get checked out just to be sure.

They do all sorts of stupid things outside, she might have been stung by a wasp/bee. I remember Murray coming in limping one day with a huge swollen paw, he had obviously been swatting at something that decided to sting him. She could alternatively just have been being lazy!
