**The big ol' Z97 thread!**

Too confused, going around in circles, I want a Z97 that has a full speed m2 port (some are throttled down) and will probably do a 4970k proud. Temped by the MSI gaming promo package and the Gigabyte SOC Force more than others... so far!

Hi which ones are throttled down?

Pretty much all boards are using 2 lane M2 Ports, there is some boards reported as using 4 lanes as the spec says is max. I think someone posted on the forums saying that it was Asrock... I think

OFC that's working on the basis that you can get one of the two (that I know of) 4 lane M2 SSD HD's which from other peoples comments is rarer than unicorn poop!

Saying that i am tempted to pick up a i3 for the time being and then giving that to the mrs for her system.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

You got my board!! :D what I really want to know is, can a large air cooler fit on, or is the additional soundcard in the way? Hmmm

Again, MY OPINION which you do not seem to like others having but try to force yours upon, I would not ask you the time of day TBH.

I wonder what they would think if they read some of the nonsense you post here.

You still running Prime??

OC Force is tearing it up your spot on Stulid. So far best Z97 I have tested and OCUK Exclusive.

I could do 6.3 Uncore, 6.5+ Frequency on XOC Z87 and Z97 Force is stronger so when I get chance I will try AM3 and legacy stuff on Z97 Force. Been testing with modern benches so far top efficiency. Samsung IC amazing performance.
