*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

What did you expect though? We all knew what games were coming out between launch and right now, you're hardly going to get a developer surprise everyone by releasing a AAA game without any prior warning.

Most of the people moaning about a lack of games presumably got caught in the launch hype and bought one without really thinking about whether there was enough that they wanted to play on it.

I didn't expect anything. I bought it because I was hyped at launch. I knew it was going to gather dust for a while but I don't really care since I have a PC to play games on anyway. I'm not complaining about the lack of games just saying that there isn't a lot of good games for it like some people are making out.

Anyone who buys last of us having already played and completed on a ps3 is a total mug

Was one of the best games I've played in the long time, I regret getting rid of my PS3 as I wanted to play through it again and play the DLC. Day 1 buy from me, no questions asked.

I'm lookin forward to TLOU on PS4 myself. Played it on Ps3 and it was excellent, will double dip.

Personally with PS+ and a PS Vita, Ps3 (I sold mine when I got a PS4 but with PS+ and so many good PS3 games given with the service soon purchased another Ps3 to replace it) and a Ps4 I'm buried in games.. : - )

Haven't played on console seriously since original Xbox/Gamecube times really.

I did have an Xbox 360 but it barely held my attention as I was deep in MMO addicition during those days :P

Decided I'm gonna get a PS4 for Destiny. Are there any other upcoming games this year I should be keeping an eye out for? The current games list looks a little medicore to me.

Does anyone notice that putting ps4 into standby is slightly different since the latest updates

Before it would flash white for a while and then go solid orange, mine now seems to go solid orange virtually straight away then go back to slow flashing orange then soild orange.

How does the automatic recorded gameplay work? Can I not view it once I exit the game?

Can I disable the pop up that says something like "Stopped recording because.. cutscene, or whatever" then after the scene it "Recording begun after cutscene

If I record a video, will it save to capture gallery and can I view it whenever I want (outside of a game)?

Is sharefactory just for editing the videos?

How it is supposed to work is that the PS4 will hold up to the most recent 15 minutes of play in memory. You need to tell it to save, to do that you press the Share button and press Square. But... in many cases it's simply broken and doesn't work. The PS4 will record the first 15 minutes after you start a game and then stops recording. Sony hasn't said when they will fix this.

The alternative way to record is to double-press the Share button, this will force it to start recording and it will automatically save the video once it gets to 15 minutes.

To turn off that pop-up press Share then Options->Video Clip Settings->Display Icons for Blocked Scenes.

Sharefactory is just for editing videos you've saved.

I've not played it all the way through so I'd happily pay whatever price they are asking for it :) even if I had played it all the way through, I'd probably still pay it tbh.

I bought The Last of Us on digital download on ps3 but only played it for a few hours and still haven't got round to playing it. Now its coming out on PS4 i won't want to play it because I know ill be missing out on the better version. Arrrr

It's between £45-50 everywhere defo not worth it

lolwut?

people have paid £55 for some crappy PS4 games so to get one of the best games ever made for £45 seems worth it IMO if you like those type of games.

maybe not worth it if you have already played the game but then that has nothing to do whether or not it's worth the cash to someone who has never played it before tbh.

lets say the PS3 version didn't exist and it was a new game (which it will be to a lot of people) do you think it's worth £45 baring in mind it will actually be better than the PS3 version?

why can't people understand not everyone has played remastered PS3 to PS4 games before?

a lot of people bought fifa 14 on PS3, to only buy it again on PS4 a couple of months later, nobody complained back then.

the game won like a million game of they year awards last year and topped every chart, etc. If you haven't played it before then it's no doubt worth the money, especially to all the morons complaining there is nothing to play on PS4 that is decent.

The game is the same just a visual upgrade on ps4. It looks fantastic on PS3 as is.

I don't think the PS4 version will be as impressive as the PS3 as the level of graphics is expected whereas nobody thought the PS3 could do much more. It still amazes me how this runs on PS3 hardware and looks as it does.

That's not very nice. I feel there is a lack of games on PS4 and nothing that I would deem great yet.

plenty of well reviewed games to choose from IMO, their is a large selection of games overall too. None that have taken that next level step yet obviously as the console is still in it's infancy.

I have too many games to play ATM, and all the ones I am playing are good enough otherwise I would have sold them on.

The "great" games won't hit until a few years have past IMO, the current ones are all just getting a "feel" for the console.

Say what!

TLoU is noticeably sluggish at pretty much all times on the PS3. At 60fps on PS4 it'll be transformed.

Not to mention the cinematic quality character models and anti-antialiasing. Extremely tempted to double dip.

Same here, mainly because I have never played it.

Same reason why I bought Tomb Raider, had never played it before (apart from the old ones on PS1).

Same reason why a lot of people want GTA V to hit PS4. Nothing to do with developers cashing in, people want them to do it so they can play those games on their new consoles.

Not as if it would take years to make new versions either it's the exact same thing just slightly better they already have all the code in place just need to upgrade parts here and there.

It's like taking a controller like the DS4 and upgrading the sticks, it's not a big job as most of the work has already been done before hand.
