Ubisofts confirmed the resolutions for this - the PS4 1080p/60fps on Sony's blog was SO FAR off the mark:
792p - XO; 900p - PS4; both at 30fps
Definitely not preordering this - want to see how the final product looks and reviews on here, and Ubisoft and their 400 variants of the game (and multiple visions of the game) are having a laugh - easier to compare car insurance

Did I not see a piece about how Sony themselves expected it to be 10800 and 60fps etc?
Yep that's why I mentioned it - the blog post was amended though before this announcement - no idea if the reasoning why it was put up wrong exists. It was hard to swallow when I saw it though.Did I not see a piece about how Sony themselves expected it to be 10800 and 60fps etc?
sony officially had it on there website it would run 1080p/60fps and had to retract it
That's okay, I was just checking.
I cant see any reason if they got that much out of the XO why the hell they couldn't get the 1080p at least on the PS4, that makes no real sense given the power advantage it has?
Could it be running more AA/ particle effects etc?
I wouldn't be able to stand 30fps.
900p on the PS4....who saw that coming?
Does not bode well for The Division which seems to have a newer/better engine. I was using Watchdogs as indicator how The Division will turn out - I fell for the hype with that game...

We should ask the 'Driveclub' question of what state this would have been if it had been released at launch like expected - shudder to think how bad it could have been.

I thought it might happen tbh. It's been in development for years across multiple platforms, it's in no way optimised for the new gen systems. It's why I'm not looking at this as some kind of example with regards to The Division - that's being developed solely for new gen.
im sure it will be optimized for 'next gen' systems.
may be they're just no powerful enough.
Maybe the consoles are barely 6 months old and we're not likely to see the best they can do just yet, especially when it's a game launching across so many platforms at once.
they're being pushed to their limits as it is mate.
they have same architecture as PC and with the low level access to the hardware theres no reason for them to not being utilized 100%.
this isn't like PS3 with its unusual cell architecture.
