Watch Dogs

This game just continues to disappoint as far as I'm concerned, makes you wonder what they've been doing whilst it's been delayed.

I still reckon there might be a ps4 patch like the AC black flag one

yea thats what i thought as well, AC shipped as 900p on the ps4 but i cant remember how long it was after release did we get the patch to bump it to 1080p

Difference is much smaller than 720p & 1080p but it's still unacceptable IMO.
I wouldn't say it's unacceptable, but I would say it's annoying if you were expecting 1080p. Like I said earlier, then game has been in development for years (6 I believe), and is going to be available across multiple platforms and multiple generations. Just like BF4, I think the pressures of getting the game working across all platforms means that it's simply not optimised for the new gen systems as much as it would be if it were a new gen exclusive game.

My main concern is simply the gameplay. Graphically it looks good enough for me, it's the gameplay I want to be more convinced about.

Haha, no. Wait till Naughty Dog or Sony Santa Monica show their games, it will make current stuff look like a joke with maybe the exception of Infamous.

I think that's a broken hope given the architecture difference between last and current gen. They needed time to understand PS3, not so with PS4 as has been mentioned.

who cares if its 900 or 1080. no one can tell the difference

most people with decent eyesight and a decent large 1080P panel can I imagine.

I sit 8 feet away from a 50" flagship panny plasma and I can tell a difference between upscaled SD, Sky HD and Blu Ray quite easily.

In fact I had a 4K file which I had torrented on my PC which is connected to the TV and I could even tell it was 4K simply because I had never seen anything like it before it looked real, absolutely unbelievable. The clip was only a minute or so long (due to file sizes) and it was of a asian woman preparing some seafood, etc on a plate. I'd never seen anything like it even though it was 4K downscaled to 1080P.

Forget 4K on youtube which has been compressed, nothing touched this clip I had downloaded, I think it was a tech demo by LG or Samsung.

in what way is it unacceptable? it doesnt make it a better or worse game.
It's unacceptable to me personally because before this gen I expected 1080p to be the standard, and still believe for the money we are paying in the year 2014 we should be having 1080p as a standard. Of course others may not be bothered, it's just for me one of the things I was expecting for this gen, so when a game doesn't meet that it's very disappointing for me.

You mean these two?

They're beyond 2160P so not surprised.

Cannot verify if they are the ones, if it's got an asian woman in it and some seafood, then chances are it's the same one.

I deleted it after watching it a few times and it was last year (when I got this tv), to test out it's potential.

You may be right about this, but surely if Naughty Dog have spent the last ~10 years developing for the PS3 architecture, the switch to the PS4 architecture will take a similar amount of time to get to grips with for their dev team?

I have never bought a game and considered if it would be 720p/900p/1080/30fps/60/fps ever.
This tbh. In all the consoles I've ever owned (which is most of them), I've never considered resolution or FPS. All I cared about is whether the game was fun to play. This is the first generation where it's been such a big deal (but also possibly the first generation where there has been such a measurable difference between the two main competing consoles).
