Is it acceptable to let

Whilst I can understand the people saying nay, I think as long as its picked up, then I don't see it as an issue. All the talk about the possibility of kids playing in the area are OTT. Like many many many other people, when I was growing up our dog would occassionally poo in the back garden when it went out for a pee before bedtime. The next day the poo gets picked up and then kids can play once again. Like someone else said above, as long as they dont go around licking the grass its not an issue. kids play in parks and fields where dogs poo is plopped all the time, should kids not be allowed to play in the park or should we train dogs to use the human toilet?

OP could potentially build a small front garden wall, that way no dogs could poo on the grass.

Dog shouldn't be going in other peoples gardens. Ours doesn't and he's the most defiant, insubordinate simpleton going.

However, he can and does go on the pavement at the end of peoples driveways as we're walking past. That can't be helped - if a dog squats, he ****'s

You don't see it as an issue as you've had a dog. There are families who decide not to have a dog and accept that the outside world may not be sterile lol. However we're talking about someones private property and they shouldn't have to worry about another adult conscously allowing their dog to crap on their property.

I wouldn't be happy about it OP. Owner should have their animal under control, which includes not letting it stray onto peoples' property (the pooing is the icing on the cake. so to speak).

Owner gains back some credit for at least clearing it up. But he should not consider it acceptable.

No, not acceptable at all. Dog owners should show some respect for other peoples property. Even though it gets picked up it shouldn't have been allowed to happen in the first place. At least it was picked up which is more than the lazy, bone idle scum around here do!!

Everyones pulling the "kids play on that grass"

Do your kids really play in the front garden? Really?

Agree it's a bit of a stretch. Would it, therefore, be acceptable if the dog did it somewhere no one would go in your garden?

For me, I just don't want someone letting their dog roam and **** over my lawn.

And don't get me started on cats.

Well he picked it up, would you rather it be on the pavement or in the mud?

Realistically what is he going to do? Cup his hands behind the dog?

Or he could pick it up off the pavement like he did the lawn.

Think you missed the obvious.

No the dog shouldnt be on your property FULL STOP.

The owner shouldnt have let the dog have so much room to move

Nope not acceptable, as mentioned germs etc left behind...could also get someone to do the same to him/his house (as nasty as that is haha!)

It's certainly not ideal, but I wouldn't waste too much time thinking about it, unless it happens again.

It may have just been the dog started and he didn't realise until it was too late if you will, especially if he was old he might not have been able to move it away in time.

In fairness maybe the dog just started doesn't wash. The owner should have stopped the dog going into his front garden.

Its not hard they are connected by a 2 foot lead.

It depends whether he took his dog purposely to the area to do it, my dog has peed on the neighbours lawn and just outside their house but once they start its hard to get them to stop, you try and stop one when its curling out, its impossible, the flood gates are opened.
