Woman facing death in Sudan for Apostasy

i was under the impression that in Islam, the religion is passed down the father's side. i.e. because her dad was a muslim, the courts consider her one too?

The apostasy charge is because she says she's not a muslim, because in the law's eyes she was born one.
 
My sister during a silly phase went and converted to Islam because she fancied a guy who was Muslim. In the end she converted back and became a born again Christian. She was threatened to be killed and murdered by the local Muslims who converted her. So.. this doesn't just happen in Sudan it happens here in Manchester.

There was a documentary on it, of people who had converted from Islam to Christianity having violence purported against them in the UK.

This is not a liberal peaceful religion as the mass media would like to portray it. It is most definitely a medieval religion with dangerous implications for any democracy it exists within.

Yeah we know this. The difference is, our culture has learned to largely shrug off religion. Christianity has become a much more benign faith. With the exceptions of the Mormon's and the Jehovah's Witness cults, Christianity does not even proselytise anymore in the West. We know it does elsewhere, but that's for another discussion. Islam however, the new born baby of the three Abrahamic faiths is still in it's tantrum phase. It takes it's self far too seriously, hence the carnage we see daily now on our news channels.

Islam needs to calm the **** down !
