And most of the name calling coming from Conservative supporters, speaks volumes about the Tory toffs, it's almost tantrum like and I bet they think Cameron's dad is bigger then Nigel's dad :D

I am not entirely sure if you are being ironic here or just hypocritical?

Link to O'Brien mauling Farage on LBC Friday morning. O'Brien is not Paxman material, and they had very limited time, so he rushed this interview way too much, but oh boy, if he just let Nigel speak, poor man would burry himself up to the neck. For every question Nigel had nothing but slogans and pub rhetoric, doesn't know people he selected as candidates, doesn't have any control over party lines, picked wrong coalition in EU, gets completely deconstructed over his own family in light of his own populist slogans then the moment things get dangerous (question about EU audit on UKIP expenses), his campaign manager intervenes on air and pulls him out of the fray.

Terrible interviewer, but still gets to show, ask Nige any real, factual question and he has nothing but bumper sticker one liners.

I felt that it's quite a good interview. I would be slightly concerned that the leader of what is still, currently, a fringe party - and as such doesn't have a big elected membership - I choose to vote for doesn't know who one of his elected councillors is.

Given that he struggled to answer any question at all, it would have been interesting to unleash Paxman on him in this election campaign. Farage wouldn't stand a chance. His worming on the question between Romanians and Germans? I would be so embarrassed to stand up and say I'm voting for this man.

I do need to be fair though - 99% of radio interviews with politicians are embarrassing.

I am not entirely sure if you are being ironic here or just hypocritical?

He's not being ironic. He doesn't actually realise what he's said.

Im trying to find any UKIP stuff that doesn't seems to site Migrants as its cause, and everything magically gets better if the UK had limited immigration put in place. The Romanian flood didn't happen so are all these policies now negated? I don't understand

They want more police on the streets... Well duh
They want lowest possible council tax.. Well duh
Don't build on Greenbelt.. Well duh
Standing up for LOCAL people... well duh

Do they have a National manifesto? Something based on facts, economics or is it just OK to say spend more money and get rid of everyone that's not a benefit?

What good are UKIP local councilors??? Genuine question.
What good is an Anti EU representative in the EU assembly ? I guess that makes more sense than the local council one...

Well toff is slang for posh, not necessary name calling. You interpret it as you wish.:D

N word is slang for man of colour...

The lefties and now some con know they haven't really got a valid argument to stand on, what with their failed experiments, and people are finally starting to wake up and take notice. So all they have left it seems is to try to dig up dirt and try to tarnish the name of UKIP in a last ditch attempt. Although, the polls would suggest that yes, this is just getting UKIP more votes.

When was the last time the Greens were in power according to you? The left haven't had any say in politics for decades. Please stop confusing muddled centre right parties with the left anarchists, ala the Greens, Jesus, Gandi and the other 'save the world' people, who you will simultaneously admire and spit on with your right wing authoritarianism. In other words, don't tarnish the left with Labours brush :p

In my experience, people who use the phrase 'Wake Up' are all conspiracy theorist wack jobs.

I'm really starting to like Mr Farage and hope he does very well in the election, time for real change. The people are finally waking up.

Here's hoping the Government get a bigger surprise, the 3 party mould has to be broken and while I may not agree with all other party polices it's a breath of fresh air that this Government will eventually have to sit up and take notice.
Cameron and co as well as Labour have caused untold suffering among the more vulnerable people in our society, I am seeing working families struggle from day to day worrying whether they'll be able to eat properly between pay packets while the Tory Government are giving more help to their rich friends, sick and disabled people committing suicide to escape the welfare reform onslaught that leaves them with virtually nothing, people being driven out their life long homes because of the Bedroom tax, a lady I know forced out of her home while a European family get the keys, more people having to rely on food banks, unemployed being forced to work for free or lose their JSA while multinational companies exploit the free labour.

The Tories don't care about ordinary folk who are the first in line for real cuts when times are hard, I say real cuts because cutting a few bob off someone who is wealthy has no effect on them while the ones at the bottom of the ladder feel the full force and often means going without food, so excuse me for feeling a little pleasure when the Tory ******** get a bit of a kicking.

I have to agree with Judgeneo. Our (UK) governments and the "small" policies they fabricate are little ripples on the ocean of the global market that nowdays decides all our fates and will do till the end of this Era.

Its a total waste of time thinking its in our voting hands. Its all under control by a select group of Global Corporations balance sheets.

Jesus im a liberal hippy.

just live your life to your means, meet a nice girl or boy . Pass on your meager life savings to your offspring and repeat the cycle. Then die a wage slave.

Was this sarcasm or just genuine douchebaggery?

So what UKIP policies do you think are going to fix this? You've made the assumption that they aren't more right-wing than the Tories. The "ordinary man in the street" voting UKIP is the turkey voting for Christmas - you've been caught up in all the "immigrants are taking your jobs" rhetoric and assumed that means they are going to support people on low incomes.

UKIP don't actually have a long term plan, though. As has been highlighted many times, the only reason that anyone has even heard of them is because they stand against mass immigration. All this ******** about the public "waking up" is just that, ********.

Quite. I find it quite slanderous to say "the public have woken up". No, we have always been awake, don't categorise the majority along with the short sighted few.

Terrible 'interview'

Anyone with half a brain cell should be able to see through that. Constant personal attacks, no discussion of anything of relevance.

The bit where Farage says 'have you worked in a private business' and James O'Brien says 'no I'm an ordinary person' is just LOL. Then of course the attacks on family members and ridiculous accusations like Farage wearing makeup. Would he ever do that to another politician? Would he expect Ed Miliband to know every person standing for election into council across the country? No I don't think he would.

James O'Brien is a total and utter disgusting condescending ****. His tone of voice is so grating.

Also, at the start James O'Brien brings up a tweet that he claims to have occured 'overnight', and then 2 minutes later he claims it happened on the 17th February

The only thing in that interview is the immigrant standing for UKIP who owned a restaurant where they are employing illegal immigrants. Even that in a way shows up what a joke the immigration policy is. Everyone knows that restaurants are illegal immigrant smuggling hotspots where they will never employ anyone outside of their own, and to have a candidate standing for UKIP participating in that is not on.
