Cycling London to Shanghai - Part 2 Asia

How's the legs + moral, sick of camping out yet?

Moral took a hit with the illness. Not been camping much recently due to hosting and very cheap accommodation here. Will be more camping from now til Central China.

Very envious. You have a great idea of life that I wouldn't mind following.

Best wishes and luck to you.

Thanks!

You have done crazy well to get half way. Amazing feat. Keep it up!

Thanks as well :)

Just read the latest update, I wouldn't fancy cycling in 40 degree heat . I had no idea you were only 26 I thought you were mid 30s from reading the blog :p

Your thighs must be like tree trunks.

Not so big but every muscle from the waist down is rock solid!

Haha I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not :p.

Just read your last post, you continue to amaze me with your dedication. I can't imagine cycling the best part of 100KM in a day let alone whilst feeling like that. You are certainly picking up a lot of good stories to tell in the future.

Hope you enjoyed your well earned break and a belated happy birthday!

Hey. Just caught up with your latest ride. Great reading! I guess your 3 day rest is over now. Good luck on the next leg.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Malevolence, the rolled up trouser leg is so the trousers don't get caught on the Chain/Chainset area.

Just caught up with your adventure. Still in awe. :)

I have to ask though, what's with the trouser legs in Bukhara? :p

With the french guys? Not sure, if it's the right leg it's to stop them getting caught in the chain but one of them ha the wrong leg rolled up!

Just did most of the 3 day stint from Bukhara to Samarkand. Had to get a taxi the last 60km due to a severe dose of food poisoning, the second time in three weeks! Going to take a day off then get a taxi back to re-ride that section as I'm determined to cycle every inch!

Another enjoyable read. It looks like a really interesting place. I don't have enough adventurer in me to ever consider somewhere like Uzbekistan. Certainly would be intresting to tread in the footsteps of Gengis Khan though.
