"Migrants to the UK must learn English and "respect our way of life", Sajid David - the UK's first Asian secretary of state - has said in an interview."

"He also said there was no place for Sharia law in the English legal system"

"Mr Javid, the son of Pakistani immigrants, said: "People want Britain to have more control over its borders, and I think they are right."

Oh look the tory party jumping on the UKIP band wagon. I personley think his spot on.

Actually I have a lot of time for Sajid David, he always seems to have his head screwed on the right way, for him at least it's not a band wagon he's always been a very moderate Muslim. Still voting UKIP through

UKIP as a protest vote in the European elections is a nonsense reason. Fine you want to protest against the bigger parties for whatever reason but how about you protest by voting for a party that will actually turn up to vote in the European Parliament. Your protest will be better heard if the people you vote for are actually visible in their role.

Wow at the demonisation of the working class in here. I'm probably what you'd call "middle class " but many of my hard working friends are of working class stock. Some earn much more than I do!

Sad that we've let the press distort people's views of what working class is. Not everyone in that demographic is a sponging chav.

I'm judging this based on my experience of people. The fact is that the working class people are likely to be less well educated, and do use the English language badly.

Reel out the asian again!! I know this guy helps prove your point, but a lot of Indian and Pakistani people are against immigration, and my experience is that the less westernised people tend to be more racist, and find it acceptable to be xenophobic because of many indian people's hatred for Pakistanis and vice versa. Once again, this is my own experience, but the latter part of this is definitely true.

UKIP MEP candidate for the South East, Janice Atkinson, seems like a pleasant woman.

I really don't know.

I'd like to see Cameron, Farrage, Clegg and Milliband all stand up in a Question Time like debate and have them answer questions. Then I could make up my mind.

Not sure, has this already happened? If so, linkey link!

Stand up and vote on what? Their votes don't count 90% of the time since the vast majority of MEPs are pro-europe.

The EU union is a joke. Its ran by unelected ball bags. I must admit I did like my tax payer funded trip to the European Parliament. Put me up in a nice hotel. Had some amazing food and beer. Bit of a tour of the Parliament which is dropping to bits.

It's not just UKIP in the UK that want big changes, there are parties in France, Germany and others that are the equivalent of UKIP (and even more right) that look extremely popular and gain seats this time round. Enough to band together and start making a difference

Well I was likely to abstain from voting but after reading some of the deluded comments in this thread I will be voting Conservative. Not because I necessarily agree with all of their policies, just because it is a vote against Ukip. I dread to think what would happen if this thread is a mean average of the Uk voting populace as, god forbid, Ukip might actually get some votes.

If they do, then all of you people who have fallen for the lies that Farrage and his cronies have spouted and are 'proudly voting foy Ukip'
hang around here so in a years time, when the country is on it's knees can apologize for bring so bloody stupid.

Meh come on. As even Farage said, there's idiots in every party.

And I've highlighted one. I suspect a lot of people are voting UKIP with no knowledge of who they are voting for (although I understand that people do that anyway Conservatives, Labour and Lib Dems have had longer to weed them out along with more competition for the position of representing their party).

What lies are these? I mean you would have proof to back you up..no
And fancy voting for the least liked party!

Are you so far gone wanting to be antagonistic you can't even see when someone is defending your beloved party?

So, we might as well close all political threads if we're going to start pointing out the idiots ;).

"Conservatives, Labour and Lib Dems have had longer to weed them out"
and yet they are still kicking people of of their party's.

That's rich coming from you.

When I said "people need to pay in 5-10 years ECT." and you came back with "why"
then I came back with "because I did it" you went very quiet :D
