Hehe, I tried PAC on my S3 a while back and it felt too 'heavy' in use and got sluggish over a few days use. Tried it once at the start of this year on the Find 5 iirc - and I weirdly had the same experience. It just had too much stuff going on that I personally didn't require, hence Omnirom being my main driver for quite a while.

I haven't kept up with the news - why are folks making a big deal about the SoC within the phone? I presume it isn't because folks want the latest and greatest just for the sake of it.

Unless it has a way to get rid of the heat - it will just throttle in a phone

Makes more sense in a tablet.

It should have pretty good power consumption tbh - smaller process than 801 (28nm vs. 20nm IIRC), so some of the increase should be offset by this. I would be surprised if they did not include other power optimisations also.

The size is a little off putting I have to say.

Well into the phablet territory.

Not too bad of a size at all...shorter than the S5!!

size looks impressive! especially vs z2

I like the curved back on this.. the Z2 was flat and had sharp edges, it didnt feel that nice. I may just get this instead.
Hope its waterproof and priced right. The G2 was only £399 on launch.

So pretty much the same size as the S5, but a 0.4" bigger screen, and potentially a larger capacity battery?

[edit] Some of that extra 0.4" will be taken by on-screen buttons though, I guess.

Been looking at a Nexus 5 today but since finding out its not available on EE I found the G2 was the closest alternative which is available. However, I stumbled across the G3 promo video and I'll definitely be waiting before upgrading; this phone looks sweet!

No SD slot would be a shocker. It is the Korean version though so maybe the international one will have it.
