How much sleep do you get ?

Usually between 7 and 8 hours. I very rarely sleep all the way through and pretty much always wake up at some point in the night

Need to be up at half 7 every morning, so it varies between 8-6 hours really.

Woke up yesterday after 6 hours sleep, felt perfect (Although no GF)
Woke up today after 7 (GF staying) felt terrible.

Best sleep I had recently was no GF, Mam staying out and brother staying out on a weekend. Pure natural sleep and wake, felt like a new man the next day.

7-8 hours a day.

If I undersleep, i'll need to catch up the next night.
If I oversleep, i've got headaches and hangover-like symptoms the rest of the day.

I try to get 8 hours but usually I'll need to get up to urinate once or twice and I don't wake up rested.

I've been known to get 2-3 hours or even none if there's something I want to do at night but I avoid doing that due to the fact I get nothing done the next day - I don't function well without much sleep. I mean I don't feel much more tired than usual (being tired is pretty normal these days) but my concentration levels drop massively.

Try exercising in the evenings, having a hot shower and then reading until you feel tired. Always helps me have a good night sleep

3 to 4 hrs on a work day, anything up to 8hrs on my off days, feel really crappy most of the time

I usually go to bed between 10pm-11pm on week days and set my alarm for 5past 7 but I can never get up at that time, I always hit the snooze until the point where if I don't get up now I'll be late for work. This really bugs me I have no idea why I struggle so much to get myself up. I feel so tired through most of the day but when I get home from work I'm fine and no longer tired.

My usual sleep pattern if left to it's own devices is go to bed at 2-3am and get up at 11-12pm. Unfortunately work doesn't allow this lol. I've thought about going to the doctors to see if they can suggest anything because it is honestly so hard for me to wake up in the morning and I feel shattered throughout the day. Even though I'm getting anything from 7-9 hours sleep.
It's been like this for me going on 2 years now, I must hate my job lol.

I go to bed at midnight Sunday through Thursday nights and then up at 7:40am Monday through Friday, so just shy of the "average" 8 hours.

However, whether or not I sleep well is completely dependant on things going on in my life/mind. Sometimes I can hit the pillow and be asleep within fifteen to twenty minutes, other nights I will lie there for hours on end, sometimes not sleeping until around 4am or even later. I've never been a good sleeper.

Lack of sleep however has never seemed to really bother me, I typically fall back into routine the following day, just not feeling quite so fresh.

The only thing that has changed recently is that I no longer sleep until 11am on the weekends. I now get up at 8am or 9am. That's not because I'm bothered about missing out on the day (even though I am), I just simply cannot do it anymore.

Oh, and if I've had a few beers or more, I don't sleep properly. I lie there utterly wired.

6-8 seems to be the average, question is do us older people need less sleep? And of so how come, when I was younger I could sleep for England ... And in my clubbing days I'm think nothing of a 12 hour stint after a long night..... Those were the days :)

Normally fall asleep about 12:15-12:30am, wake up at 7:15am. I'm always tired. I don't remember what feeling wide awake for a day feels like. I don't even have kids!

Diabetes?

Funnily enough, he already has diabetes (he is my brother so I should know)!

In the week I go to bed between 1:45-2am, wake up about 7:50, often wake up before the alarm though! Try to get a nap in when I get home from work before training. Weekends I get even less sleep usually, I'm a real night owl and could stay up all night without a problem, and even if I get a "lie in", it usually ends up being 5-6 hours sleep.
